Description

The human body is a fascinating, mysterious — and sometimes even stinky! — piece of machinery. Explore the extraordinary inner workings of your body, from your tongue to your toes and everything in between. The innovative mechanical torso simulates an X-ray view of the body and contains different interactive models that demonstrate how major body systems work. Assemble a simple squeeze-bulb pump to circulate red dye through thin, clear tubes like your heart and circulatory system. Expand and contract two balloons inside a rubber diaphragm to mimic how air is pulled in and out of your lungs. Discover how the esophagus, stomach, and intestines are related as you guide a ball through a maze shaped like your digestive tract. Observe how the spine, rib cage, shoulder blades, and pelvis all connect to keep your torso strong and straight. Dabble with slime as you learn about the important role mucus plays in your respiratory system. Stretch and contract rubber bands to illustrate how the bones, muscles, and tendons in your arm work to move. An eight-page, full-color experiment guide takes you through your exploration with fun facts, scientific explanations, and hilarious illustrations. Scan the QR codes to listen to exclusive content from Wow in the World’s Guy Raz and Mindy Thomas. This kit also includes a sleek display stand and a special syringe to add to your collection of classic STEM tools.

  • Really fun science!
This kit is absolutely incredible for curious kids! It comes with an interactive mechanical anatomy model that includes a pumping heart, working lungs, digestive tract, glow-in-the-dark bones, brain, and more. My child was fascinated by how everything moves and works together—it’s a hands-on way to learn human biology without feeling like a boring lesson. The pieces are well-made, safe, and engaging for kids ages 4 and up. It sparks questions, encourages exploration, and makes learning about the human body fun and memorable. ... show more

  • Simple educational toy with silly fun included.
I generally have mixed thoughts on a lot of educational toys, as I question if some are backed by actual science or just teach a single type of thinking. This is simplistic and gets the important body parts demonstrated with supplies that most people already have on hand (except a corpse shell of course). The lungs and diaphragm are made with two balloons connected to a shell, and work by simply pulling the diagram balloon to inflate the lungs balloon. Simple science showing in a simple way how we breathe. The brain is underwhelming, just a squishy foam ball with texture. With how important the brain is I feel like they really missed an opportunity to expand even slightly on it. Maybe even just having it be two hemispheres, with eyes on each that show how the eyes connect to the brain. The intestines included a small metal ball you can work through them to demonstrate digestion, which is simple and fun. There are also main arteries that you fill with red dyed water (they include the dye pill). I haven't embarked on this with my kids yet, as they are having fun without adding in something that can make a mess. The arm functions simply enough with a rubber band, but I think including a leg would be nice. The ribcage and spine are a plastic mold showing the bones, but otherwise you can't do much with it. The booklet contains plenty of cool information, but as with anything used by kids it is difficult to get them to read and appreciate it when the toy itself is fun. Overall, it's good for the price and teaches enough for a child just getting interested in human anatomy. ... show more

  • Spill your guts!
Ordered this for my 4th grader, because we homeschool, and are always keeping our eyes open for fun learning tools and activities. We've ordered a similar one by SmartLabz before. I'd say they're both great products. This one is half of the human body, while the other is the full body. One difference is that this kit gives you activities to do with the body parts. In the SmartLabz one, it's mainly a skeleton with the organs so that you can see the location of everything. I think this is an excellent value for the money. My kids had a lot of fun checking out the different organs. I'd order it again for sure! ... show more

  • Cute Toy
This toy is a plastic torso that you place in a base and add layers of "guts" so you can see how the different body systems work. There is a circulatory system that you add "blood" to and then press a button to see it pump. There is a tray for the squishy brain underneath the hat. There is an arm that hooks to the torso that moves with the help of a rubber band. There are a pair of lung balloons that you can inflate and deflate to simulate respiration. It is cleverly designed and informative. My only complaint is that it is labelled as being appropriate for ages 4 and up, but it was too complex for my super active 4 year old grandson and he quickly lost interest, other than squirting the "blood" every where with the included syringe. I think if it had been simplified and he could have participated more it might have held his attention longer. I think it should be labelled for ages 6 and up. ... show more

  • Fun diversion, somewhat educational
This is a fun diversion at worst and an educational tool at best. My 6 year old was right in the middle of that. I'll explain. It's not quite a full skeleton and anatomically correct. I mean, the heart is somewhere behind the intestines in the stomach. But that's not the point. It's just to get the child to start thinking about the body and how it works. Think of it somewhat less fun than Operation, but a whole lot more educational. Specifically, my son BEGGED me to make the red dye "blood" for the heart (I was a bit busy when he started) and when I did, he rushed to get it working. He did the rest by himself except for the bottom of the lungs which required scissors. I cut it a bit oddly and it kept falling off. For a younger child, this is a lot of fun. It shows off major parts of the body and could easily spur on curiosity and who knows, a career. ... show more

  • Great teaching tool
My daughter loves this interactive anatomy kit, and it’s been a fantastic way to spark her curiosity about the human body. The squeeze-bulb pump that circulates red dye through clear tubes is a hit, showing her how the heart moves blood in a fun, visual way. The balloon and rubber diaphragm let her see how lungs expand and contract, which she thinks is super cool. Guiding the “food” ball through the digestive tract maze is both educational and entertaining, and the glow-in-the-dark bones add a spooky thrill she enjoys. The squishy brain and fart whistle bring giggles while teaching about the nervous system and digestion. The 8-page guide, with fun facts and QR codes for Wow in the World content, keeps her engaged. Only downside is some parts, like the digestive maze, can be tricky to set up for a 4-year-old without help. It’s a hands-on, exciting way to learn science that’s perfect for young explorers ... show more

  • Unique anatomy figure
This is a cool science project. Some of the pieces feel a little flimsy, but overall my kids are having fun with it. It is opening up good discussions about how our bodies work. They get lots of laughs out of the fart tube piece.
