Was easy to install and set up the first few times i used it i had to reset the touch screen with little reset button on the front of the device. But after like 2 drives the issue went away. But be careful when installing i accidentally scratched the very bottom of the screen, i dont notice it any more if im not looking for it, and didnt affect the function of the device. My favorite car radio i have ever owned. It fit in my dash perfectly. And looks amazing and unless the sun is directly hitting the screen its easy to see all times of day. Top quality and not expensive for what you get. Separate volume for each channel, to customize your listening experience. 13 band equalizer! Like 6 subwoofer settings (also included in the plus volume section). Apple Car Play!! Customize your settings, reminders on your phone will display on the screen! Back up camera is not included, but can be used. Separate microphone for your phone and Siri use. Of course the classic Pioneer “SuperTunerIII” is built in. XM is available for those that have it. I personally love this radio, installed it in an old ford truck using old ford truck speakers and it still sounds good. The Apple car play is awesome very pleased with this purchase worth every penny in my opinion

    • Defective unit + return window issue

I purchased this unit in November as a Christmas gift for my son. It wasn’t given to him until December, and we didn’t get around to installing it until January. Unfortunately, by the time we discovered the issue, we were already outside of the 90-day return window. After installation, the radio began having intermittent problems where the screen would go blank. When it powered back on, all of the radio presets were erased. Interestingly, the clock would remain correct, which tells me the unit isn’t losing full power but is instead experiencing some kind of internal failure or reset. The issue became more frequent over time, making the unit unreliable and frustrating to use. Based on troubleshooting, this appears to be a defect with the head unit itself, not wiring or installation. Very disappointing experience, especially considering this was a gift. Just be aware that if you’re buying this ahead of time for a future install, you may run into the same issue with the return window. ... show more

    • No volume knob isn’t a great idea.

Works as described, but not having a volume knob is a nightmare. If you don’t have integrated volume controls on your steering wheel I’d maybe choose a head unit that has one. Trying to find and hold the exact spot on the screen to control the volume while driving is a pain.

Android auto will not connect i have the usb connected from the phone to the stereo, it will charge the phone but the android auto icon won't light up and if I press it it just says connect to usb, which I already am. I paid extra to make sure I got a reputable brand and I'm fairly disappointed right now. UPDATE: changed to 5 stars. did some googling and found out i needed a cord that stated specifically that it was for data transfer. Got one for 13 bucks and everything works perfectly. This pushes really good sound to my speakers and has tons of customization on the equalizer. ... show more

Overall happy with the deck and price. My son purchased the same one at local shop and his came with a remote which mine did not for some reason. Apple play is only with a cable and not wireless. The sound quality if descent. I expected better audio adjustments like other pioneer decks I have owned. This one is basic eq and sound options. I installed in a 2013 Tahoe and had a shop program the steering wheel control buttons to work with the new deck since I could find no other way to integrate them with the pac adapter for Bose/onstar. Next the aftermarket rear view camera works well with the deck. I do notice a lot of glare on the screen but overall happy with purchase and quality. The biggest con to me is the buttons which are touch screen only and the sound quality compared to other pioneer decks I’ve owned. ... show more
