It seems to hold two adults that are over 200 lbs and a mattress just fine and be plenty stable—and I would wonder how you could practically test 3500 lbs. The only issue with the instruction manual is that I wish it would have said you need to use your hand or a mallet to make part P fit into the joint of part G. It should have been self evident (but it is no more self evident than making sure the screws/bolts are tight as part of the last step. I would hope in the next printing of the user manual they include the helpful tip of needing to pound part P into part G otherwise you may have people worried they may either destroy the joint or be stuck wondering for 5 mins considering pounding the part into place. I would rate it 5* if they made that one simple change to the instruction manual. ... show more

This frame is very sturdy. I love that I can use the space under the bed for storage. Best of all, my bed is flat now. The 14 inch is perfect for a pillow top mattress. Overall great bed frame. Will never go back to using a box springs.

The mattress slide off the frame had to purchase a grip pad in order for it to stay in place, look for one that has the velcro to hold mattress in place.
