Replaced my stock radio on my 07 Dodge Ram 2500 with this bad boy. I searched for ages looking for the best bang for the buck and this one kept on being number one on my list. I ordered all my parts from amazon for the install. Took about 2 hours to rip apart the dash, wire it up, do a little grinding to get it all to fit and then put it back together. I have had it for six months and am impressed! System works great with my iPhone via BT and is also handy with the USB (more on that later). Pros - Looks great - Easy to use - Good sound - Works, what else do you need from a radio in your car - Video playback quality is actually pretty good Cons - BT sometimes freaks out, simple to fix, but kinda annoying - Has the feature that you have to have the parking break on to watch DVD's. Simply bypassed this with a toggle switch, now I can cruise while having music videos playing at the same time via DVD. - Had to wire the USB through the backend, would have liked to see the USB connection on the front. But it does look better without the cable sticking out the front, just a small pain while installing. 10/10 would buy again.     • Great Sound in 2011 Jeep Wrangler
For the Money this is a very nice unit. It sounds good, has more power than the factory stereo, looks nice and is very easy to use. The 4 band equalizer is intuitive and works well. I also like the loudness control combined, they make the factory speakers in the 20111 Jeep Wrangler sound much better but based on the amount of EQ I needed to apply, I'll be getting new speakers. The Bluetooth works great with my Andriod phone for both phone calls and music. Callers can hear me very well even when using the hands free option at highway speeds. I love it that it remembers I was using Bluetooth audio and returns to the same song when I come back to the car. A lot of other units switch to another input when the unti is stopped and restarted. I bought this Stereo for my 1999 Camry. After replacing the stock one with a Pyle PLDN63BT i was not happy with the sound quality or the hands free quality so i researched and came up with this Pioneer AVH-280BT. Everything that was wrong with the Pyle is perfect on this one. The audio quality is great (providing you have good quality speakers of course). The bluetooth streaming of music is steady and clear, the hands free calling is perfect, when i call people cannot tell the difference compared to when im holding the phone at my head. For the DVD playing while driving you will need a bypass, simply grounding the parking wire doesn't do it on this radio, on the Pyle it did work. NOTE: IT IS ILLEGAL and also NOT SMART to be playing a movie while driving. The backup camera feature i have not tested yet because i have not connected one but i don't anticipate an issues with it as Pioneer is known for good quality stuff. Overall i am satisfied with this product. The interface is easy to navigate and the options are not difficult to understand. The touch sensitivity is great, it would be good if you could adjust it but no real complaint about it. I also did not need a dash kit as the factory brackets worked just fine. Radio fit flush in the dashboard and installation was easy (considering you are a DIYer). ... show more
