I cant believe what a great deal this dress was. I originally ordered a small which is my usual size but i exchanged it for a medium. I knew I was going to be dancing a lot in the dress and I wanted to be comfortable. The small fit, but the medium gave me a little more dancing room. I am 5’3 121 lbs and 34D. I did not have to hem the dress, it was perfect length and I have 2 1/2 in heels on. The slit on the side is quite high, and higher than my liking so I pinned it shut to my knee. Love this dress. I purchased a Large and I'm 5' 1" and about 155lbs athletic build (has a mommy pooch), but this dress fit perfectly!! I just needed to hem it, which is not a big deal and was expecting to do so anyway. It's hard to find off the rack petite dresses. I purchased it in two colors thinking I will return the other. This was a pretty dress and was great for the price. It arrived too late and since I wasn’t able to wear it, I returned it. I did try it on before returning. I’m 5‘6”, 170-175, and a pretty solid size 10. I’ve had two kids and my belly is shaped differently than before kids. My hip area is slightly bigger than average. The dress was a bit snug in the belly and hip area. If this had come in time and was my only option, I would’ve still worn it, but due to it being a bit tight it wouldn’t have been the most flattering for me. I bought this dress for my son’s wedding. I had seen it on a girlfriend a few months prior, and loved it so much that I had her send me the link. She bought the burgundy and it looked fabulous on her. I had it pressed at the dry cleaners to get the packing wrinkles out but that’s all it needed. The fit was perfect and it had just enough stretch that it was comfortable to move in (and dance at the reception!) I added a vintage brooch at the top of the ruffle for accent, that had matching earrings. I’m 5’4, 145 lbs. and I ordered a medium. The fabric has a decent thickness that’s not see through but I wore a fitted nude short slip (that I pinned up on the side where the ruffle is so it wouldn’t show) to hide imperfections and panty lines. This is a true red. The dress is beautiful and it fits true to size if you order your normal size. I purchased a size up from my usual because I followed the measurements on the chart but returned it and got my usual size for a better fit.
