abunda_amazon_reviews This is a really nice set up! The indoor unit is charged with nitrogen for shipping so removing the caps is fine. The only specialty tools youll need are gauges and a vacuum pump. The sellers had prompt and great advice. The unit is precharged for a 25 foot lineset according to the seller although the installation manual recommends adding 1lb additional r410a (for lineset >20ft) but Ill believe what Im told. I havent started the system yet so a follow up review is pending. The only other slight concern is that the manual calls for copper conductor from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit but the cable that came with it is 16awg aluminum conductor. I doubt there will be a measurable voltage drop over 15 feet but its not what the manual calls for. Im VERY happy with the finished product. UPDATE: I have emailed HighSEER numerous times with various questions about this unit and EVERY TIME they're prompt and accurate and helpful. The customer service has just been fantastic. If you could imagine what customer service SHOULD be like, HighSEER has fulfilled the expectation. I cant thank you enough for your helpful service. About the unit: Quiet. Quiet quiet!! The outdoor unit is on the back patio and its so quiet that a whisper conversation can be had while its running. The indoor unit is inaudible. Our 1100 sqft house is comfortable with thermostat set to 75 and its 87 outside. Latest update: After installation, the indoor unit started up and a bunch of blue plastic pieces fell out of the indoor unit. I emailed HighSEER (the seller) and asked them what they thought of it. After one day, they responded and diagnosed that the blower cage must have gotten broken (which I couldnt determine from my preinstalled inspection) They immediately sent me a NEW blower cage FREE of charge!!!! So, the product is nice and Im HAPPY with it but the CUSTOMER SERVICE from HighSEER is absolutely the best customer service that I have experienced in ANY industry!!!!!;;Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Looks to be a nice unit. Excellent customer service!!;;jeremy;;;My husband installed the 18000 downstairs in our 1,700' log cabin, to test. He wishes he ordered the 24000 it works so well, instant heat or air. We are putting a 13000 upstairs. These are excellent, we are putting them in our rentals and Hunting Lodge on the East Coast. The only issue is these are not pre charged. Amazon is so great, they paid for a plumber to charge the lines, who cost $100 and it worked immediately.;;Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Excellent HAVC Powerful (mistake not pre charged);;93422;;;I bought 2 of the Pioneer 12k BTU units for my 5th wheel that I have permanently installed on some property in the high desert. The basement AC in the 5th wheel died. I could not find anyone to come out and work on the AC. No AC companies in town would work on a 5th wheel, and the RV guys wouldn't come out to work on it either. They would only work on it in the shop. So, I realized I would either have to skip another summer or order new ACs. The problem was, as previously mentioned, the AC companies wouldn't work on a 5th wheel, and the RV guys wouldn't come out to work on it. Between that and money being tight, I realized I might have to figure this out myself. I have never worked on HVAC stuff, had no real plumbing experience, but I do know electrical - at least enough to not burn the house down. One out of 3 ain't bad. I researched my options and found that a mini split would be best for my situation. I landed on the Pioneer after I read the reviews and watched a lot of YouTube vids to see which ones would be in my installation skill set...or at least close. The 2 units arrived in several boxes, not too heavy that I couldn't lift them all myself (one at a time of course). I installed them in my 5th wheel over a period of about 2 weekends - there was a hiccup in the time frame for a missing part - a VERY important part - the adapter for using the vacuum pump on the system. Research that and don't forget to get it! It's the "Wadoy R410a Adapter for Mini Split HVAC System 5/16" Female Quick Couplers x 1/4" Male Flare." The part is on Amazon for $9.58. I would have certainly paid 10-15 more bucks to have the whole kit needed to finish the job. The lack of the inclusion of that very simple part is a contributing factor to my 4 star v 5 star decision. I finished the job JUST before it got really hot - well, mostly finished. I still have to do the moldings over the external hoses. The problem is that it got TOO HOT to work. Temps have been at 105-108, and I just can't work in that heat. Call me a baby if you want - I call it old. :) Also, don't forget I installed TWO of them. That's twice as much work for those of you who weren't following along. ;) I have a 5th wheel with an upper bedroom/bath combo (bed is a slide out), and a kitchen/living area with 2 opposing slides. I installed the blower units inside the coach across from the bed on the curb side wall, and the other on the rear wall of the unit. The compressor unit was outside to the rear of the coach, and the other parallel to the side of the trailer near the landing gear. The install was pretty simple. I ran into some issues with the hoses being hard to bend without kinking them. I had some twists and turns that were difficult to work through, but I did it without damaging the pipes. I found the connectors inside the unit for the power to be inadequate. They felt cheap and I worried about being too forceful with them. The instructions were written well enough to understand them and it made the install easy. We have now been through 2 really hot weekends. Highs were 105-108. This 5th wheel sits out in the middle of the desert with NO shade. We get some shade in the early evening when the sun sets over some hills, but that's about it. These AC units work fantastic. My bedroom area held the preset temp of 75 degrees on the hottest day, and the living area was kept a comfortable 80 degrees. The turbo mode worked very nicely, as did the follow me feature. I did not like that the remotes were IR and not RF. They need line of sight and can be a little finicky. Also, the remotes are not specific to the unit. Should you somehow go line of sight to two of the units, that could change the settings on both. This is another of the factors that kept the score from 5 stars, and really the biggest. Switch to dedicated RF remotes, Pioneer! ;) These units have performed beyond my expectations. They're quick to cool down the room, they're quiet as can be, and they blow some COLD air. It will be great to be able to visit our property this summer. Last year we couldn't use the 5th wheel due to the lack of AC. I couldn't stand to be in there for more than a few minutes at a time. It would be 110 outside and 120 inside. Yuck! Now, it's icy coldness. Next, it's the electric bill. We'll see how it goes!!! Update 5/4/19: We made it through the entire summer last year using the Pioneer air conditioners. They performed flawlessly. With temperatures nearing a 120゚ the inside of the 5th wheel was nice and cool. We also used the machines for heat in the winter time although I don't feel that they perform as well as my Eden Pure space heaters. We're moving into another summer and I look forward to another season of icy coldness.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2018;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Exceeded my expectations!!!! My husband installed the 18000 downstairs in our 1,700' log cabin, to test. He wishes he ordered the 24000 it works so well, instant heat or air. We are putting a 13000 upstairs. These are excellent, we are putting them in our rentals and Hunting Lodge on the East Coast. The only issue is these are not pre charged. Amazon is so great, they paid for a plumber to charge the lines, who cost $100 and it worked immediately.

Exceeded my expectations!!!! Installed 2 units in a 5th Wheel
I bought 2 of the Pioneer 12k BTU units for my 5th wheel that I have permanently installed on some property in the high desert. We're moving into another summer and I look forward to another season of icy coldness.

Hvac contractor said unit appeared to be good quality from other installations so I purchased this unit
Purchased unit from Amazon. Hvac contractor said unit appeared to be good quality from other installations so I purchased this unit. After my hvac contractor installed the interior head has vacuum leak. Hvac installer tested under pressure and pressure will not hold. You can hear an air leak under pressure inside the head. Tried to contact manufacture about sending new head and customer service is poor. Got hung up on twice and nobody is returning my call. Sending entire unit back to amazon. If replacement unit has problem I will get my money back and purchase a different brand.

Had a good AC man look at it and it just will ...
Having trouble with it. Had a good AC man look at it and it just will not work right. Tried to a hold of someone to cover the warranty work but just get the run around. Like to return it but again no help. The mini spilt is just two months old and only worked for three weeks.
