These headphones operate via ir. They are different from the original factory oem that came with my Honda Pilot in that you have to manually switch them on and off. The originals turn off when the earpieces turned flat and turn on when you place them on your ears. These headphones also have on ear volume adjustments. They're a matte black finish with thinly padded foam over the speakers. The performed well and the volume adjustment is a good added feature. Be careful if you have small children because the volume control is relatively easy to move and could be accidentally changed by little ones. ... show more

    • Work like a champ in 2013 Odyssey, but have to be turned off (OEM turned off automatically)
Work great, good sound (TV Quality), automatic setup via IR, and easy to put batteries in. However, they need to be turned off between uses, so not as good as OEM especially with kids. But still easily worth the money and I'll just swap out rechargeables.

    • Foam doesn’t seem flimsy & easy to use without setting anything up.
I usually don’t write reviews, but reviews are so important to me when buying things and I was hesitant because of the foam covering comments . I’ve only used one of the two sets for now. But the one that I did try, connected without doing anything because it’s through infrared. All I had to do was turn it on B. The foam doesn’t seem flimsy at all, but my toddler hasn’t used them yet. They seem sturdy though. I can see the kids not turning the battery off because they don’t turn off automatically like the ones that came with the odyssey, but that’s with anything kids use that takes batteries. Edit- My 3 year old remembers to turn them off. They are holding up, the foam covers have not come off. I’m really pleased. My kids actually like these better than the ones that Came with the odyssey. ... show more

We absolutely love these headphones!! I bought them for my 3 yr old and they fit him and they fit me!! We went on a weekend trip right after purchasing them and I bought tons of batteries because of the reviews and he used them 4 consecutive hours going on our trip, and every single time we were in the vehicle, then 6 consecutive hours on our way back home, then since we’ve been home he’s used them several times and I’ve not changed the batteries yet!! I just make sure he turns them off every time he isn’t using them!! These are definitely worth the buy!! I am very happy with my purchase!! ... show more

These work great. You have to sit in the back seats in line of sight of the TV. I initially tried to get them to work while sitting in the front seat and it won't work up there. My 4 year old is able to operate these independently after we showed her how they worked. We have had them about 4 months now and her only complaint is they don't get loud enough to entirely drown out her parents who are enjoying a conversation and adult music in the front seat.
