I bought this for my 12 year old who is interested to teach himself animation. It seems to work nicely and the stylus works smoothly. We were really disappointed when the tablet failed to power on one day just 4 months after purchase and very few hours of use on it - not even an indicator light to shownitvwas charging or not. It also happened to be outside the return window - super bummed. I decided to reach out to customer support to see what cpuld be done and the agent was great! He made sure he knew exactlybwhat model it was an gave me step by step instructions to do a reset. The reset was simple and did the trick. I’m very pleased with the quality, preloaded software, smoothness and ease of use and the customer support was top notch. Absolutely recommend!

Let me start with the cons: Battery life is not what I hoped for. The unit provides maybe two and a half to three hours of continuous use on a full charge. Turn around time takes closer to eight hours to fully recharge and will on only charge with the cord that it arrived with it, the device will not respond to any other cords. The Red Painter app has a lagged response time when using stylus which can lead to issues. Within a year, the unit would only work if plugged in (and ONLY if using the charging cord the device came with) stopped working unless it was plugged in. And eventually it wouldn’t work at all. It does have good points: The set up process is a step-by-step very easy user friendly experience. If you’re looking to transfer your photos and images, be sure you already have everything uploaded to your google drive. Update: The company was EXTREMELY helpful trying to rectify the problem! The device gave up just outside of the return/warranty window but the company was very quick to reach out and offer a replacement.

I ordered this tablet back in January 2021 and today it's basically dead. I used it a few times, hoping I'd be able to draw some sketches while I was away to then transfer to my computer at home to finish on my large drawing tablet, but the thing is just, bad. I use Paint Tool Sai and Clip Studio Paint but the tablet can only really handle the apps it comes with. Trying to use any other app is a nightmare since the screen is tiny, and so are the buttons. I decided to use Sketchbook and oh, my, god. For a few seconds, it would be fine, but after a bit, I noticed the tablet wouldn't register the quick swipes my pen would make while sketching which is what almost everyone does when sketching. It was extremely annoying and even when trying to just draw slowly, I could see there was a delay when dragging the pen. It's not just the pen, it's the whole tablet in general. When I tried using my fingers to play games, it wouldn't register my tapping and I'd have to really press my finger into the screen for a few seconds for it to register my "taps." The thing really wants you to use the pen it came with, because it won't accept any other drawing pen or stylus I own. It doesn't even like my finger. Then there's the battery life. There is almost none. When the app has a full battery, it starts to drain when you're not even using it. After using the tablet, I would always try to put it into off mode when putting it away but when I'd pick it back up a few days later, it wouldn't turn on at all. The thing dies even when it's off. It charges extremely slowly too. With my phone, after it dies I'd plug it in and after a few minutes, I'd be able to turn it back on. This tablet though? Nope. I picked it up recently in hopes I could put some use to it by installing some rhythm games on it, but it wouldn't turn on. Remembering its awful battery life, I plugged it in and waited about 20 minutes. I go to see if it had enough to even turn on and... nothing. I pressed the buttons, and I held it down, but nothing. I wonder, maybe it never started charging in the first place? So when I plug it back in, I press the power button and it shows me an image of a drained battery. Yup, it's being charged, it just won't turn on until it has more charge that'll probably take a few hours. I've had it plugged in for almost an hour now and the dang thing still won't fully turn on. I don't think it's broken, I've only had it for almost 2 years and it's been used maybe like, 5 times. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The price makes it look appealing but you're not getting what you pay for. Just wait and save up until you can buy a decent IPad with procreate on it, or a Wacom tablet, almost the same price, that plugs into most laptops and PC's.

My daughter has been drawing on paper since she was 3. At first I thought it was just a phase, but she has continued to draw for the past ten years. I give you this bit of information to politely say, it’s taken her 7 of those years to get me to buy this tablet for her. We have spent so much money on special erasers, drawing pads, charcoal pencils, all of the “great stuff” artists use. We bought an iPad for my wife, and later handed it down to my daughter. Although there are some great apps for other tablets, the apps are limited in a lot of ways. For the past three years my daughter has been BEGGING for a “drawing tablet”. So I decided to do some research for specifics. The good: this particular tablet arrives with a specific drawing app that IPhone or Android does not offer. The display is very good, obviously with it being a “smaller size” the picture seems so much clearer. It’s very responsive with the stylus that it comes with. The price is within reason, and it allows for “YouTube” recording. The bad: although it does come with a leather bound case, there are no other options as far as a case goes. The stylus does not have a rubber tip, so you may have to buy a screen protector in order to prevent scratches (I’m not quite sure of this just yet, it’s only been two months). It only bolsters the desire for bigger and more expensive tablet. 😭 The down and dirty: I would definitely recommend this product to someone who is looking to grow their artistic abilities. My daughter takes Art in school and has been able to expand her abilities because of the different abilities the app has. Definitely buy the glove for the artist tablet, it comes with one black one, but if it gets caught in the couch, eaten by the dog, or just forgot at school, then it kind of curves the “earth is ending” moments. Great product, just know you ARE getting what you’re paying for.
