I almost never leave reviews, but this time I had to! My Cricut Joy is 4 years old and I make a lot of cards on it. When I started having loading/unloading issues and could tell the rollers were worn I called Cricut and was told that because my machine was out of warranty there was nothing they could do. Their solution was to buy a new machine for $129 (on sale from $179!) They were unable to offer any solution to replacing the rubber rollers and I started researching sources to do it myself. These rollers worked incredibly well! I didn’t take the machine apart, but instead used the method outlined for cutting them for insertion and using super glue to reattach. They work perfectly!! I cut them in the middle just because I didn’t want to take the machine apart. I didn’t super glue them and they are stuck in there! They are a little hard to get in but so worth it.

Instead of buying a new joy, I looked up on YouTube how to replace the rollers and took my cricut apart and put these on. They are perfect and worked the second everything was back together. 10 stars!

When disassembling and reassembling your Cricut, be sure to work on a cleanable surface - avoid porous materials like wood. The internal grease is extremely thick and sticky and can easily stain your workspace, clothing, and hands. It will come off with soap, but expect to spend a while scrubbing it from your fingers. Gloves could help, though some parts, like the C-clips, are so small that they may be tricky to handle with gloves on.
