I've been putting off buying a Cricut for years, but I finally but the bullet and bought one and it completely changed the game for me. It is incredibly capable of doing such a wide variety of things it makes me so excited about all the possibilities I have with it. The software takes a bit to get used to, I recommend just watching a quick video of how to use it on YouTube. But once you get the basics down, the rest of the software is pretty intuitive and the all the settings options are pretty straight forward. So far I used it to cut through Grafix brand shrink paper. You need to go into the settings while you're setting up the cut to make sure that the blade on the Cricut cuts with a harder pressure because the shrink paper is a little thick. But once that's done and the designs are cut, you can just pop them out. I will say though, that when the Cricut cuts shrink paper, it leaves behind little white residue specks from the cutting process, so I like to use a paint brush to brush off any debris before putting them in the oven. All in all I'm super excited about my Cricut and I can't wait to use it more! ... show more

I’ve seen so many videos on items I can create and so far I’ve only done vinyl cutouts and stickers but plan to do so much more!! It’s very easy to use and there are guides everywhere. TLDR: worth the money. buy it and all your crafting dreams will come true. i was not happy when my almost 4 year old maker finally bit the dust the other day. i use my machine daily for my small business so i had to get it replaced ASAP, and decided i might as well just get the newest model even though it was almost twice as much as i spent on my old maker. my annoyance at spending so much more money EVAPORATED within minutes of using my new one. this thing is FANTASTIC. i mainly use print then cut, and one sheet of stickers used to take about 2 minutes to cut, i had to use 3x cut and super high pressure.but now? this BEAST of a machine cut a full sheet of 15 stickers on whatever the default setting for sticker paper is in like 30 seconds. and the cut is so accurate! it’s well worth the money if you use your machine often. the only MINOR complaint (and this is me being a bit nitpicky) is that it’s a bit louder than the older machine. compared to the cameo i had, it’s still super quiet, but it does make slightly more noise than my old maker. overall, i couldn’t be happier with my new maker 4. ... show more

This machine is great! I am a beginner with it and the setup and first projects are very easy to follow. I removed 1 star for 2 reasons: 1st the software that is REQUIRED to operate the Cricut machines is a subscription based software and is rather expensive. There is a free version but it limits the graphics and fonts that are available to use. 2nd the bundle really should come with at least a spare blade and/or one of the separate types of blades that are available for these machines. Overall, it is a good value with the materials included, but could have used less materials and moreblades. ... show more
