  • Awesome quality prints
Really amazing print quality. I had a few misprints but overall that was mostly my fault. This was a great price too. I'm super happy with this purchase.

  • Great printer for the money.
Good prints and large build plate for the money. No major problems with miss prints. Had to use LCD mirror setting on this printer or prints will come out reversed (Chitubox). This setting did not have to be changed on the previous printer I had and must be changed manually. Software needed to be updated on printer. Easy initial setup! Easy to calibrate Z axis, and easy to install and remove build plate. Manufacturer shipment packing is outstanding. You will need to buy your own scraper to remove prints from build plate as the putty knife provided is cheap and inadequate for the job. Buy a house paint scraper. ... show more

  • Didn't last a single month. Very fussy printer with very hype marketing materials
Update: a few days after I wrote this review half of the LCD screen stopped working. I'll update again if Phrozen's customer service is worth anything. But, working poorly for a month and then dying is the TLDR on this review for now. Original review: So, on the plus side, this printer seems to have the largest print area for the lowest price of anything available right now. But that low price seems to come with a lot of downsides. I've put more than ten kg of resin through the printer at this point and have done a lot of troubleshooting and calibration, so these aren't first blush impressions. My specific qualms are: The large print area means you can use a lot of resin even with properly hollowed out prints. The problem is that the resin vat is not even as deep as the one on my much smaller entry level resin printer. This means that the printer runs out of resin before any larger print can be completed. With my other printer, running low on resin is no problem, I just add more. With this printer though, the print will fail more than half the time if you add resin. Pausing the print to add resin or not pausing it doesn't seem to make a difference. Their tech support says not to pause it, but offers absolutely no response on how to get it to not fail when adding resin. Compared to half the prints failing, the rest of these issues are minor, but they've really gotten under my skin. (more so than they normally would, but again, half the prints failing...) I wouldn't judge some of these quite as harshly as I am except I'm also really put off by the way the printer is marketed. Calling the screen 9.3 inches is sketchy when that's the diagonal measurement. This isn't a TV. And, calling the printer "4k" when it's printing has nothing to do with the conventional meaning of "4k" as a TV resolution is just misleading. It also irks me that they have rounded up the print area sizes multiple times when they do state them clearly. The write up says 20 x 12.5 x 22 cm, but the actual print area in Chitubox is 199.68mm x 124.8mm x 220mm. Sub-millimeter rounding wouldn't annoy me if they hadn't gone to such length to exaggerate elsewhere. But, here's the thing: the intense desire to exaggerate seems to have slipped in to their Chitubox configuration. Models that show as within the print area in Chitubox that go close to the edge will get clipped by the actual print area which is even smaller than what Chitubox has configured. I don't know what the actual print size is, but it's not what they say in the description and it's not what Chitubox is configured with apparently. They also describe the printer as up to "4 times faster" than other printers. This is another wild exaggeration. The exposure times this printer can use are indeed much shorter than other printers, but if you don't then add a long light off delay, the print fails. Their own suggested settings for the printer are only about 15-20% faster than my 200 dollar entry level printer does. If you're looking for speed, look elsewhere or at a minimum check out the suggested settings on their website. The assembly for the z axis is also flaky. The knob to release the print bed has to be cranked down very hard or it will come loose, as do the screws that hold the print bed in place after leveling. I'm not talking about a little bit firm - I mean so hard that it seems to risk stripping the screws or other mechanical failure of the components. Last but not least, I cannot imagine why the printer's design includes an "everything is OK" alarm that goes off 4 times at the start of each print. Overall, I would recommend people go with a more established company with a better track record of success. I really wanted to love this printer, but in the end it's got an awful lot of flaws backed up by an awful lot of hype. ... show more

  • A Must Have ASAP
I recently got my hands on the Phrozen Sonic Mighty 4K, and I have to say, I'm seriously impressed. This printer has a sleek and sturdy design that just screams quality. It's built like a tank, which means it stays super stable during prints and cuts down on vibrations. This leads to really precise and clean outputs. One of the things I love most about it is the large build volume. Whether I’m working on a big project or printing several smaller items at once, this printer handles it all with ease. It's incredibly versatile and perfect for all kinds of projects. Now, let's talk about the print quality—it's amazing. The 4K resolution gives you incredibly detailed and smooth prints. Honestly, the level of detail is just stunning, especially for the price. And speaking of price, the Sonic Mighty 4K is a fantastic deal. For the quality and features you get, it’s an excellent value for money. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a pro, this printer is a solid investment. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great resin printer for the money
So, I did get this item on sale, but it's still a great value even at full price. This was my first resin printer, after lots of research it came down to this one and another popular brand. This one went on sale, so I got it. I honestly don't think I would have been disappointed with either. I did have a scratched mono screen [ printing LCD ] right out of the box and I had a great experience with support to get it replaced quickly. Once that was resolved, it was ready to print. I don't think my camera does justice to the detail on these prints. Setup is super simple, it's fully assembled out of the box, just need to attach and level the build plate as instructed, fill it up with resin and off we went. The images are from a pre-supported model that I purchased for testing. You can easily spend hours getting supports right for your own models, but I wanted a quick test. This turned out great. I am looking forward to augmenting my FDM prints with resin parts to get that extra detail where needed. ... show more

  • Toss the resin!
The printer itself is great. The settings are simple and it prints wonderfully. My issue is more with the resin that came with it. I printed four batches of prints on this machine and another with my other resin with perfect results. However, when I attempted to use the resin that came with it, EVERY print failed miserably. When I switched back to my other resin, the problem was fixed. (For the record, I did use the recommended settings for the resin at first and then increased exposure time and supports after each fail. I even leveled my plate on both machines again to be sure.) Keep the printer, it's worth the money. Toss the resin. ... show more
