We have now purchased two of these Phone Soap UV Sanitizers, and while they work, they are truly fantastic. Unfortunately, the first one died after 7 months of use, and the second, which is now being sent back died in less than 30 days! Serious quality issues here.

    • Hopefully this is killing bacteria
Truthfully, I'm not sure if this works because I have no way of measuring my own usage and data, but I use it religiously in the hope that it's doing SOME good. Prior to pandemic, I used it for our phones whenever we got home...first thing, the phone went it to this. Since the pandemic, we put wallets, keys, phones, credit cards, cash...pretty much everything that fits into this. I don't think it kills viruses, but it may kill some bacteria and that's helpful right now. We always put our face masks into this now, hoping it will kill whatever bacteria may accumulate from constant exhalation so we can reuse a mask all day. I also put toothbrushes in it. ... show more

Just arrived today! I’m excited to start using this! I relate a lot with other reviewers, I decided to get this because 1. I work at a Dental office, enough said and 2. I have kids. I see first hand the nastiness of their phone screens and it’s pretty gross to imagine what’s been accumulating. Think sticky fingerprints....yeah. I took off 2 stars because I’ve seen other photos of the Phonesoap from others and noticed I’m missing something from mine. When I opened the Phonesoap, it’s empty. Is it supposed to come with the sponge? I checked to make sure it wasn’t just with the Pro model since I have the 3. Anyway, that’s the reason I deducted. I can’t wait to have my family use it & even take it to work to help my coworkers sanitize their phones too. I will update my review if there are any changes. Happy cleaning! ... show more

    • Customer service? Loose socket prevents proper operation; manufacturing defect or design defect?
The return window closed a month after the delivery date of my brand-new device. Not long after that, some part that's inside of the socket where the cord plugs in for charging loosened. We have to jiggle the cord to obtain a connection, and then tape the cord to the side of the device to stabilize it so it will operate. Hopefully this is a manufacturing defect and not a design defect. We'd like customer service to repair or replace our device. What's the normal life of this product? More than a few weeks, we hope.     • Talk about peace of mind
I use this product to clean my phone and oh my goodness it is such a relief from trying to use sanitizing wipes and remembering how often I clean it. Think about all the times your phone is around when you’re cooking and food items spray (hello oil/veggie peels/raw meat) or you pick it up to check a recipe and germs just transfer. Now think about when you use your phone during private bathroom time. Admit it, we all toilet scroll. Also, I work with children, who can be a little well slimy and unhygienic at times. My point is, there are so so so many reasons why my phone is disgusting on the regular. This product easily cleans my phone and does it well. Talk about peace of mind. Added bonus, you can charge it at the same time! It’s a little pricey initially but if you think about how often you’ll use it, it’s definitely worth it. ... show more

    • Effective Way to Sanitize A Phone
I bought this sanitizer and was using it long before the Covid-19 pandemic, and it's been a tremendous asset during the Covid-19 self-isolation. My wife and I stick our phones, smart watches (and anything else that will fit) inside the sanitizer twice a day to insure we're not spreading anything. It's super easy to use. Open the sanitizer, put your phone inside, close the lid, and 10 short minutes later the phone is germ-free. Of several different methods for sanitizing a phone, the PhoneSoap came out on top - killing 98% of the germs on a test phone. Simply put, this thing works, works well, and in this Covid-19 pandemic is a real blessing to have. Son told me about this item. He is critical care nurse. His 4 kids were netfling my iPhone with coughs and sneezes. I look at phonesoaps web page and was convinced to purchase. Easy to use! My 10xr iPhone fits nice but not hubby’s flip phone. No remotes fit but great for smartphones and my hearing aides, tweezers and small items- don’t forget germs on keys. There are cheaper brands but this one has a lifetime uv light guarantee. I am intending on using it every day! Often. I also will be gifting it to others!!!! More$ than others but I tend to think you get what you pay for. Delivery is as quick and there are no buttons to push. Open lid, place phone in and close lid.     • Is it REALLY working?
We purchased two of these; one in black and one in gold. They are larger than we expected, but the quality is good. I especially like the pale gold color; it blends in well with my vanity were I keep it. We like that you can charge your phone while it's cleaning. I clean my iWatch in there too. Only problem is how do you know if it is really sanitizing the devices--because the PhoneSoap doesn't "clean" the surfaces in the true sense of the word? A smudged phone still comes out smudged and/or dirty. Still, we feel good about using it; especially during the Covid 19 outbreak. ... show more
