Great portable printer is so easy to set up and use. Set up literally took 5 minutes and was ready to print. A starter roll is included and the print quality is good. It does only print black and white, as most, if not all thermal printers do. I did also pick up the matching case (not included) and it all fits perfectly. ... show more

    • Great Wireless Portable Printer My daughter LOVES it!

My daughter had wanted a portable printer for a long time & I’d looked at quite a few before coming across this one. A lot of the portable printers I’d seen weren’t that much smaller than this Phomemo Portable Printer, but the were only capable of printing one size & that size was a fairly small. One of the great things about this printer is that you can print full size 8.5”x11” documents or pictures, but you can also print in various other smaller sizes. It all depends on how you set it up in the app that’s used to run the printer. That made this one stand out bc not only can it print pictures but it can also print papers for school. I love that you can not only print from anything with Bluetooth capabilities, but it also comes with a cord to connect it to a computer so you can print from there as well…covering all bases. Not to mention that you don’t ever need toner or ink of any kind bc it uses thermal paper. The only drawback there being that you can’t print in color but my daughter is fully capable of coloring in anything that she doesn’t want to be in black & white. It comes ready to use for the most part, all you have to do is put the roll of paper in & download the app. My daughter printed her first picture w in 5 minutes of us opening it. The size & weight are perfect for a portable printer bc it’s super lightweight & small enough to fit in her mini backpack so she takes it everywhere with her & that’s what she wanted to be able to do. It also comes with a closable dust bag that protects it when in her bag or really anytime it’s not in use which should help with the lifespan of the printer & I appreciate that a lot. I ordered this in the light purple & the color is more of a light purple grey mix & definitely not as bright as pictured but that’s not a problem for us. It comes with a roll of paper, but my daughter ran through that in about a week so I’d advise buying extra rolls of thermal paper along with the printer. The only negatives my daughter had to say about the printer is that the app can be a little confusing at first when it comes to printing things in different sizes. She’s way more technologically savvy than me & she’s still figuring it out. She also doesn’t like that it always prints the full 8.5”x11”s of paper leaving a white band at the top & bottom of the page if the image is wider than it is tall, but that would be the case w most printers. Overall this printer seems to be well thought out & well made. I’m really glad I ordered this for my daughter & she is too & we would both highly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable printer. ... show more

I originally got this Phomemo portable thermal printer to print out 4x6" address labels. I regularly send stuff to my mother and I wanted to get away from printing out whole sheets of paper on the laser printer. I followed the Quick Start Guide and went to the Phomemo website to download a specific driver to my Windows laptop. However, even though the laptop recognized the printer, they could not communicate. I scanned the Phomemo QR code on my Android phone to download their app. Using the app worked. I was able to upload a photo of my cat to the app and the printer worked just fine. The print quality was OK. It reminded me of an old-school fax and ultrasound printouts. I wouldn't consider thermal paper archival, but it is handy to have a portable printer around for quick document printouts. I could not get the printer to correctly print USPS labels, as the only size settings for the printer are Letter and A4. I did try various workarounds, like turning the label into an image, resizing the image, etc., but I only ended up with 25 labels that had portions of the label printed. So, all in all, it is a handy portable document printer, as long as I can access the documents on my phone and upload them to the Phomemo app. But I really wanted to be able to use this printer with my laptop, and it just doesn't. ... show more

This is a tiny little printer, about the size of a big package of spaghetti. You have to install the app to print from your phone, which is kind of meh. Prints beautifully though, not like the old thermal printers that looked all smudge from the start. Good driver support on the Phomemo page, got what I needed and was printing from my workstation by USB with a little work. YMMV ... show more

With the recent way that ink manufactures a printers are treating their ink as proprietary and not allowing you to use third parties I've decided that I was going to move over to a thermal printer. I've been watching this brand and I think that they have been putting together a system that is easy enough to use and also presents with you the ease of not having to worry about consistently buying ink. So what I like about this one is the fact that it comes with a carrying bag and also is super portable. Now if you're doing some heavy duty printing there still is not some sort of printer that can match quick heavy duty printing that is affordable for home so home printers like an Epson are still necessary and some instances but for me this was a great solution. This thing has a nice design language it looks well done and was easy to set up and use. I do recommend watching the video as it first I didn't understand that I had to press the button on top twice quickly to get it to feed the role before it would accept the print. They have a pretty good app that they've developed on the app store so that makes it super easy as well. there are a lot of accessories that come with this and this is sort of becoming like the cricut of thermal printers. I'm looking forward to seeing this brand develop and maybe putting out a proper full sized home desktop thermal printer that can print close and proximity to what you're used to. That being said you can use traditional paper you just have to feed it one by one but it still gets it done really quick. I also like to use this with pre-printed labels so I can do shipping labels quickly and easily. This is a great device ... show more
