  • Significant upgrade over my earlier E-series Sonicare!
Color: White Configuration: Older Version 4100
My old E-series Sonicare electric toothbrush recently gave up the ghost after many years of faithful service. I considered replacements from both Sonicare and Oral-B, and decided to buy the older version of the 4100 model because it provided the right mix of features at an attractive price point. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. The 4100 is a little slimmer (see photo) than my previous E-series model (nice, especially when travelling!), but the slightly textured handle assures a solid grip while brushing. The smaller and slightly stiffer brush head is a significant improvement in that it seems to more effectively remove plaque from my teeth by concentrating the pressure of the brush strokes into a smaller area. And, while I'm usually a little skeptical of features beyond the most basic, I really like the 30-second "alerts" the new brush delivers as a reminder to move on to the next quadrant while brushing. It's made me more mindful of the need to brush consistently for a full two minutes. I liked this new toothbrush enough that I just ordered a second one to replace my wife's old Sonicare E-series toothbrush even thought it's showing no signs of fading! ... show more

  • Our Dentist recommended and regular checkups show less tarter buildup
Color: White Configuration: Older Version 4100
We now own 2, one I've used for over a year and the other for my bride. Our Dentist recommended and regular checkups show less tarter buildup. Battery in the older unit is holding up fine and I expect both units will have a long life. Head replacement is simple and the toothbrush lets you know when the head is to be changed. Vibrates at a higher speed than our old electric toothbrushes. Took a few times brushing to get use to it, otherwise I highly recommend! ... show more

  • FINALLY a sensible toothbrush
Color: Black Configuration: Older Version 4100
The electric toothbrush market is absolutely insane. Bluetooth, tooth apps, insane prices... Took so much digging to find a decent one, but finally here it is. I thought the feature where the vibration lessens if you press too hard would be annoying, but it works fine actually. While the up front cost is painful, you can save money by using generic replacement heads. Some reviewers got a regular charger and others got USB only (who has USB ports in their bathroom??), but I'm beyond pleased to have gotten one with a regular charger. Thank goodness. Makes two little beeps when you put it on the charging stand so you know it's properly connected and charging, which is nice. If you're looking for a no frills electric toothbrush that does the job without being bogged down by insane 'features' no one has ever wanted or asked for, this is it. ... show more

  • It has USB connector for power and doesn't not come with transformer!
Color: White Configuration: Older Version 4100
The end of the power cord of the charging base is a USB. It's shown in the picture of the item and its easy to overlook as I was not expecting it! Does not come with the transformer. Ok if your power outlets have built in USB ports. Thankfully I had an extra. Other than that it's physically shorter than our previous one it's replacing. Husband has big hands so not sure if he will have issues 😀 ... show more

  • I thought I got a defective unit because the battery indicator was always blinking
Color: Black Configuration: Older Version 4100
This is the 2nd time purchasing this model of tooth brush. I purchased a 2nd one so I could have one in each bathroom. The first one, 3 years old now, still works find. When I received the 2nd one, the battery charge indicator was always blinking, indicating need for charge even after leaving it on the charger for hours. I inadvertently left it on the charger for over 24 hours and it seems to be working normally now. This is a great tooth brush and it has made a noticeable difference when getting my teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist. ... show more

  • It worths the price.
Color: White Configuration: Older Version 4100
I was using oral B. I decided to try Sonicare, and I am very happy to make this decision. The only point was the head came along the handle was "anti-plaque" and very rigid and was annoying my gum. I had no idea about that and used that head daily for a while, then I found I needed to get another head for that. Dont, be ME ;) What I really love is the long-lasting power. I charged that about once a week. ... show more

  • Good quality toothbrush
Color: Black Configuration: Older Version 4100
Have had it for a while now and like it very much, aside from the brush head being slightly small, everything else is great, holds charge for long time, high powered good vibrations...nice product
