  • Treat yourself! I promise you will NOT be disappointed!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Old Lunar Blue
First off let me say that after growing up in the 90's the thought of spending $300 on a toothbrush is absolutely ridiculous - until I bought one. The day I received it in the mail, I couldn't wait to get it out and use it for the first time. I had never used a toothbrush like this one before. I usually used the cheaper $10.00 battery powered toothbrushes that you throw away once its depleted. The directions recommend you to let it charge for a full 24 hours prior to using it - however in my case I had already thrown my toothbrush in the trash, and the excitement of the product forced me to use it immediately. When I opened up the package, I was quite surprised of the quality of not only the packing, but the classy display of the contents and the quality of the materials. I picked the toothbrush up - Wow! Never thought I'd be saying this, but "What a beautiful toothbrush" is exactly what I said. The different brush heads are packaged nicely in their separate "baggies". I got the charging base and glass cup out of the packaging, and set it up like the directions say. I set my toothbrush in it and voila! The brush beeps/vibrates twice to let me know it is charging. The battery indicator blinks when the unit is charging. Just like the description says, you get several brush heads: Whitening, Clean/Deep Clean, Gum Care, and one tongue brush. Each brush head is marked on the front of the neck which one it is (C - For Clean) (W - for whitening) and (G - for gum care). If you still aren't sure you can always just place the brush head on the toothbrush and it'll "magically" tell you which one you're planning to use. Another neat thing I noticed is each brush head (that comes in the package) has a microchip, so not only does the toothbrush know which one you're using, it also knows the best intensity and vibration pattern to use which cooresponds with each head. Granted you can change it up anytime you like during the process (brush cycle prior to brushing, intensity while you're brushing), but I thought it was an ingenious idea for it to be this smart. I got the app downloaded, set up my profile, and was ready to brush. I picked the toothbrush up out of the glass - immediately it lights up. I place the "Clean" brush head on it, and the app automatically switches to the "clean" mode and opens up the brush screen - all without me lifting a finger (granted this only works if the app is already open prior to picking up the brush or turning it on). So I turn it on, the app starts telling me the parts of my mouth to brush, and I go to work. The feeling of using this toothbrush vs what I was used to definitely was an awkward feeling - yet it was quite pleasant. I finish the cycle, and then the app proceeds to tell me areas of my mouth I didn't brush as good. It says "Turn on your brush to touch up". I push the Botton and brush exactly where it tells me to. Once the cycle is finished it tells me I did a fabulous job. It reminds me to rinse, floss, and use mouthwash. I've been using this toothbrush for almost a week now and I can already say I'm in love with this thing. My teeth feel as if I've just left the dentist's office. They're already several shades whiter. I'm in love! I will never own anything else other than this toothbrush. ... show more

  • The most AMAZING smart toothbrush!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Old Lunar Blue
I decided to buy an expensive toothbrush after reading all of the things that it included. I had a Philips Sonicare before, but after many years it died. This toothbrush is very expensive but worth every penny! I now have a little “competition” with myself to finish all of the tasks that my sonic toothbrush app has me do twice a day. It keeps me on track asking if I have flossed, rinsed and scraped my tongue (it’s asks this after I have brushed my teeth as “reminders”). I love that it prompts when to move to the next section. I REALLY love that I can see on the app where I haven’t cleaned enough in one section and has me go back to clean that area. My teeth have had significant improvement in just 1 week of ownership and using it twice a day. I use the Clean brush head in the morning and use the White+ brush head in the evening. Tongue scraping brush head twice a day. The toothbrush design is sleek. I love the travel case and it was recently used on a vacation. The only “downside” was that the travel case included space for two brush heads but not the tongue scraper too. Given the toothbrush app has you floss, brush, rinse and scrape twice a day, if going on vacation, the travel case should have enough space for 3 brush heads. One of the goals Philips Sonicare has you set (if you want) is to have a whiter smile thus using a different brush head then the normal Clean mode and needing space for 3 brush heads. I have a teeth cleaning at my dentist today and I’m interested to see if I get a better report card on this visit than previous visits. Haha ... show more

  • Gets your teeth really really clean
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: New Rose Gold
I have used Sonicare Brushes for many years. I liked my older one, but I thought maybe a new one would be even better. This one made the old one seem like a basic toothbrush. If you have not upgraded in a few years, getting this brush can feel like a game changer. I recall that with my first Sonicare brush, there was a period of adjustment while I felt the brush gave me a strange sensation. With my second, it was not significantly stronger, so I did not notice a period of adjustment. This brush is significantly more powerful. Even though I was used to a Sonicare brush, there was a significant period of adjustment. It took almost 2 weeks to get used to it. I have been using the Deep Clean + setting. My teeth are getting cleaner and whiter, my gums are improving. Those promises are true. While this brush has a Tongue Cleaning setting, I did not feel that the features of this brush were truly necessary for this purpose. Also, I did not feel like swapping brush heads, each time I brushed, just to clean my tongue. I elected to put the tongue cleaning head on my old brush and just use that for this cleaning purpose. I suppose if I travel, I would just bring the new diamond clean brush for both purposes. Now for the not quite so good. The connection between the brush and the app is not all that stable. I cannot tell if this is the brush, the app or my phone. For deep clean, you need to do 2x 2 minute sessions to complete the clean. Slightly more than 50% of the time, the app registers the first cycle, but fails to transition to the second cycle to complete the cleaning session. On the second 2 minute session, it lets you know you only did half the cleaning, and prompts you to perform another 2 minute session to finish. This is VERY frustrating, especially when it happens more than once a day. Sometimes (about 3 times a week), the phone and brush refuses to connect. The app suggests that you turn BlueTooth off and then on to establish a connection. This has NEVER worked. I find the only solution that does work is to take 5 minutes to reboot my phone, and let everything start back up again. I find myself pondering if it is really important to me to reboot my phone just to brush my teeth. Also that 5 minute delay can be very impactful to a busy routine. Sonicare, if you are reading this, I do feel you can do better. Sonicare seems to have a strange model/pricing scheme. they have a basic brush, next tier, they add something you want. Then next tier, they add something else you want, but take the first thing away. If you want multiple additional features, you quickly find yourself shopping for a brush that is significantly more expensive than what you were originally looking at. I suppose it is good for their profit, but shopping for a brush can be an exercise in frustration. Summary: Pros -Does it's job really well -Comes with a travel case, and provides USB Charging for the brush, so you don't need to take the stand -Does an excelent job coaching you to improve technique -Coaches you to brush 2x a day, floss etc. All those things your dentist nags you to do, but you forget once you get home Cons -Connection issues with app -Expensive -Hard to find a brush with all the features that are important to you ... show more

  • This is the best Phillips that I have had in 30 years
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: New Lunar Blue
This Phillips is a game changer. I have used Phillips for 30 years and enjoy the long battery life, the quality brush heads, the ease of use, and the travel ability even without the charger (never needed in 9 day trip). This 9700 comes with multiple brush heads and the base recognizes each brush head for setting. The app leads the user to complete each brushing with a mouth diagram while the base and app warn if too much pressure or scrubbing occurs. It is not noisy, keeps a record of daily brushing, flossing and rinsing. It is multifunctional, even connecting to my Apple Health. The only drawback it not having the UV brush heads cleaner as in past systems. ... show more

  • I have to downgrade my rating
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Old Lunar Blue
This is the nicest toothbrush I’ve ever owned and it should be for the price. The problem is that the high price seems related to its status as a “smart” toothbrush, which it really is not. The app for this device is mediocre at best. This toothbrush is app driven but the app itself could be more flexible. First, sometimes I’m in a rush and I don’t always have time to use the app. When the app is not in use, I feel that the toothbrush should revert to the “traditional” 30 second timer for each quadrant. Second is with the app’s flexibility. I have always brushed the entire top front uppers, then moved to top inner teeth. I then repeated for the bottom teeth. This app forces me to brush six discrete areas. I’m used to it now, but it still annoys me that I can’t brush the way I’m used to. Update: As nearly as I can tell - this is a very effective toothbrush. But... the app, while potentially very useful forces me to brush the same spots over again. I think this might have to do with however the app/brush determines where the brush-head is in your mouth. I’m fairly confident to say that it knows in which quadrant you are, but I think it gets “confused and is not always sure if you are working the inside or outside of that quadrant. My biggest complaint is the availability of brush heads, specifically the T1 tongue brush in black. Mine “expired” and Amazon does not and hasn’t had them in stock for some time. I called Phillips directly and was sent two white (I agreed to that) “dumb” heads that do not connect to either the brush or app. Phillips customer service is awful. Again, I’m sure that this is a fine brush, but you pay a premium for their app and top of the line connected brushes. It is a holistic package, but it falls short if you can’t get replacement brush heads. When this brush goes, I certainly will not be getting this, their top of the line model. I’ll have to knock down my rating for this product. ... show more

  • An investment in your health
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Old Lunar Blue
Some 5 years ago, I went to the dentist one day and discovered I had a lot of cavities all of a sudden. After having the cavities corrected and receiving fillings in numerous teeth, I decided to embark on a journey and do everything I could to ensure that I would prevent getting cavities in the future. I had been brushing at least twice a day, but I had not been flossing regularly or doing anything else. I started flossing and using fluoride mouthwash after my routine. One thing I kept putting off was buying an electric toothbrush. I had read conflicting information about whether or not it made a difference. All through this time span, I had been using Oral-B Pulsar vibrating manual toothbrushes. I could not conceive how a Sonicare toothbrush would provide THAT much of a difference. After all, I was used to having a really clean mouth every night and morning with my flossing, brushing and rinsing routine I had developed. For years I couldn't justify the expense of buying a toothbrush that costs astronomically more than what I had. After years of debating it back and forth, I finally decided to make the plunge and see what the top of the line model could do. All I can say is that after a week of owning the Sonicare 9700 Diamondclean Smart, all my skepticism and assumptions turned out to be wrong. The results from this brush are simply incredible. Many reviewers have said this, but I'll say it again. Consider how clean your teeth feel after going to the dentist, then think about what it would feel like if there was a notch ABOVE that. This is literally how clean your teeth feel EVERY TIME you use this toothbrush. I'm completely blown away by how good of a job it does. I'm kicking myself for not buying a Sonicare toothbrush sooner. After using this brush just once, my teeth feel glossy in a way that I didn't think was possible. The biggest difference I've noticed is that the facets of my teeth are clean in a way that simply isn't possible to achieve with a manual toothbrush. I didn't know teeth could feel this smooth. If guided properly, the 9700 will polish and remove plaque from all the little nooks and crannies on, in-between and around your teeth. Your gum-line is stimulated and feel "tighter' around your teeth because they are being cleaned so well next to your teeth. It does all of this and with much less effort than a manual brush. Remember, this is after 1 WEEK, of use. Additionally, the 9700 is extraordinary at teaching you how to get the most out of it. The companion smartphone app is comprehensive and can help motivate some folks with goal selection and other wizardry while you brush. In all honesty, this isn't totally necessary, but it's cool that it can do it. The pressure sensor is a great feature and gives me peace of mind that I'm not damaging my gums or enamel with this powerful mechanical device. You might be surprised about how hard you were brushing before versus what is actually appropriate. The inductive charging feature in the glass is convenient. Just make sure you don't break it. There is a secondary dock you can use if that were to happen, though. Many reviewers have complained about not having a place to store brushes; however, they are packaged in plastic bags, so I'm not too concerned. This likely isn't an issue for me because I am not sharing the brush with anyone else, nor am I swapping out different head types in my routine. Your mileage may vary depending on your priorities. I'm eager to see how this brush holds up and what my dentist thinks in a few months. If you've never used an electric toothbrush before, don't wait years like I did. The cost is well worth it. ... show more

  • Very good overall toothbrush that’s a tad over priced
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Old Lunar Blue
I have been using sonicare toothbrushes for over 10 years now. So since I was due to get a new one figured I would try the newest and most expensive. So upon receiving the first thing I noticed is the packaging was outstanding. It screamed premium top of the line toothbrush. I was extremely impressed, but packaging is just that and I was hoping this tooth brush was going to be just as amazing as the packaging. So the construction of the handle, which is the main part is like any sonicare I have owned. It’s well maid, but like all sonicares if you drop it and lands on the metal peice that sticks up, there a chance you will damage the mechanical part. So be careful not to drop it, with how expensive it is I hope you would be. The case itself is also well made. I like how they have the cable built into the case unlike the past cases that had built in wireless charging. The one big gripe I have is only having two places to put brush heads in. Now that they have this multiple brush head system, only two slots doesn’t seem enough. Now this wouldn’t have been as big of a issue, except they switched to a flimsy plastic to protect the brush heads. In the past it use to be a hard plastic protective covers on new brush heads. Since I travel a lot it’s a pain to take any additional brush heads, but the two that fit in the case. The new flimsy once’s do not stay on the brush heads well. Seems like they should of included a small case to store the additional brush heads. Operating the brush is even more simple then the past. One nice feature is the auto select when the brush head is attached. It’s not something I needed on a toothbrush, but it’s nice. You can always manually select the differ modes. The app itself and Bluetooth is what your really paying extra for here. Now is it something that’s a game changer, I can’t say yes. It is nice for keeping track where you are brushing and helping you make sure your getting your pressure and angle right. For me I am to lazy a lot of the time to bring my phone into the bathroom with me or go get my phone if i forgot to bring it. As in does it clean your teeth well. Yeah it does, but I don’t think any better then my original diamondclean did. I had to take a star off because lack of storage for all the brushing heads they now have and overall price. So if your looking for newest and feature full toothbrush, and don’t mind spending some extra, then go for it. It’s a great system overall. If you don’t want to spend the extra for a smart toothbrush, then the other sonicares will be just fine. ... show more

  • Excellent for a never experienced user
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Old Lunar Blue
I was a non-believer in electric brushes. I never thought they would do very good compared to just using a regular toothbrush. I didn’t know what to buy so I figured that I would take a chance and go all out. If I wanted one, I wanted to ensure I got a good one for a good experience of how it should be. And not settling for something cheap that would continue keeping me a non-believer. I love this brush. While I have no experienced other brands or types, I know for sure that it is doing a darn good job of cleaning my teeth. Feels clean, feels good, and does not feel uncomfortable at all. My first experience with it was during travel. The case is excellent and convenient with a USB to charge and can be secured in the case. The standard charger for home use is very nice and the glass is very sturdy (if I break it, it’s because I got careless with it). Battery life seems to be more than enough to go for quite a while without a charge. But that should not be an issue anyway with having 2 ways to charge it. The app itself is quite simple (kind of disappointing between what I expected and what it does). How it works is that the app defines the range of teeth in quadrants. Top left, bottom right, inner, outer, etc. it does not know which tooth you are currently brushing or for that matter, which quadrant you are brushing. It merely knows whether you are brushing the inner or outer part of your teeth (the handle seems to know if the brush is on the inner or outer part of your teeth). So while not what I expected, it’s still effective enough to ensure you have fully brushed all areas of your teeth. But the app cannot determine if you are brushing the left or right side of your mouth. It is expecting that you are following it’s instruction. You don’t need to use the app. But I would recommend starting with it. Because depending on the setting, the handle gives an audible buzz that tells you to switch areas. And if you do not know what or where that means you should go next to brush, you cannot define what it is telling you to do. It even recommends which brush type to use based on your settings. Overall though, my first experience with my first electric brush being this particular brand and model has changed my way of brushing. And unless something goes wrong between now and next few years or so using it, I’m sold on this and do not even need to try another. ... show more
