Remove plaque and experience a deep, effective clean with Sonicare technology, removing up to 7x more plaque vs. a manual toothbrush. Sonicare technology gently pulses water between your teeth, for a month's worth of manual brushing in just 2 minutes. The QuadPacer lets you know when you've spent the optimal amount of time on each section of your mouth while the SmarTimer signals when your 2 minutes is up. The pressure sensor flashes red to remind you to ease off, helping to prevent gum recession, while the 2 intensity settings ensure a comfortable clean that’s right for you. Going electric might feel like a big step, but with this brush you’re in safe hands. Its slim ergonomic design and familiar-shaped head gives you everything you need for an effective clean. The kit includes 1 Philips Sonicare 4100 electric toothbrush, 1 Optimal Plaque Control (C2) brush head and 1 USB charger (wall adaptor not included). • What a great value
Color: Black Configuration: New 4100
I'm coming from a Waterpik (sonic style) toothbrush, which I really liked but the battery was dying and then the shaft broke due to deterioration... which ruined my plans of battery replacement. So I wanted something better. I almost opted for some more expensive options, up to $200 but after analysis it was a hard choice. When I found this model my choice was made easy. This has everything I wanted. Simple, light, Li-ion battery, sonic, pressure sensor, etc. But is a fraction of the cost. And after using it, I would have felt stupid buying anything else. I think this is rated 31,000 brush strokes per minute. Where the higher models are rated at 62,000 movements per minute. That's the same thing! "Brush stroke" is UP then DOWN... 2 movements. Clever marketing. I imagine it may even be the exact same motor. After using Sonicare I've found that I actually hated the Waterpik toothbrush, I just didn't know it yet. Wow, what a difference the Sonicare's design makes. With the shape of the head I'm able to get to my far back teeth like never before, you can feel it precisely getting in the hardest to reach places. My other toothbrush had a timer and I rarely reached it. With this one I find myself actually going the full time and then sometimes wanting like 15 more seconds. I think the design of the head helps me use the toothbrush as it's intended. The other one I used more like a manual that vibrated. I'm telling you, Sonicare is a totally different experience. Been using it for a month. Charged the battery once at about 2 weeks so it should warn me again soon. My old toothbrush (and everyone else's in my house) become noticeably weaker towards the end of the battery. This one seems to have the same performance at all levels (at least up to the first charge notification). Tip: If you want to extend the battery life don't just keep it on the charger. ;) After a month the brush head looks brand new still, wouldn't be the case with my old toothbrush. And I'm brushing longer now. So I'm absolutely thrilled. My dentist and hygienists already comment on how little plaque I have. I bet the next visit they'll really struggle to find some. Save your hard earned money, try this model first. I'll update this review when it fails... which everything does eventually. ... show more

  • Life changing
Color: Black Configuration: New 4100
First off, I’ve never used an electric toothbrush before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Finally decided to get one on sale for $29. After trying it out, I can say that I simply cannot go back to manual toothbrush anymore. I just realized how abrasive and unclean manual brushing is and doesn’t matter how gentle I tried to be. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s night and day. It uses a fraction of the force compare to manual brushing, but cleans 100 times better. The cleaning power is so strong and yet so physically gentle on the teeth/gum that at first I was literally questioning if it was even brushing anything. Only after I rinsed my mouth, I was surprised by how much cleaner and refreshing my mouth felt. Before I made the purchase, I was a little doubtful when I saw some reviews saying it’s too weak and doesn’t clean well. Well, if this is not powerful, then I don’t know what is. Knocked off 1 star because no adapter and claiming to be “greener” is just their marketing scam. Build quality, life expectancy and battery life is all up in the air still. But based off the initial experience alone, I 100% recommend it to anyone ... show more

  • Simple Electric Sonicare Toothbrush
Color: Pink Configuration: New 4100
After my last Sonicare died after 2 years, I decided to get a more basic model. This is a bare bones Sonicare. Has a two minute timer, a pressure sensor that adapts to a lighter or harder hand, and a 30 second reminder to move to another section . Thats it. No brushing select for gums or whitening, no fancy pressure controls. It's slimmer than the fancier models. It's also less than $30 on sale, as opposed to $100 or more for other models. Cons are It's real basic. It comes with a charger that uses USB instead of a standard wall plug. A slight hassle, but who doesn't have a few chargers lying around. It also has a gentler brushing feel. My fancy model had 3 settings, all of which had a firmer brushing feel. Understand your preferences. Considering most electric toothbrushes give you 2 or 3 years, why spend $80 or more. For the price, after a year or two , just replace it. ... show more

  • RTFM, please
Color: White Configuration: New 4100
The first ten days of using this toothbrush handset I hated it. I charged it for 4 hours and started using it. It was weak and the battery didn’t seem to hold charge. I almost sent it back. Then I RTFM (read the instruction manual). First, you need to charge a full 24 hours the first time. Second, there is a “ get acquainted mode” that is automatically employed in the first several uses that significantly limits the speed. This mode is automatically turned off after several uses but can be turned off manually. Third, there are two speeds, “Barely adequate “ and “Decently strong“. First press starts at barely adequate, then second press changes to “that’s what I wanted”. I am now quite happy with this handset. And the battery life is quite good, adequate for weekend travel without the charger adapter (USB-A adapter provided, BYO charger). ... show more

  • Weaker than other sonicare. USB not provided
Color: Black Configuration: New 4100
First. Philips power requires USB port but does not provide USB/AC block claiming this prevents “19 million plastic bottles from reaching landfills “. I doubt this since now I have to buy one which will be shipped in another box with a plastic case and wrap inside the box…just be honest and admit leaving this out saves you money and cost me extra. Who has USB in bath next to your sink? I had a sonicare brush before this model. The brush power was substantially better than this 4100 model but the switch on that one went bad and the brush would turn on randomly. 4 stars is generous… it’s functional but certainly nothing to brag about. Good luck on your quest for a decent toothbrush ... show more
