The headline says it all. You should get two weeks of shaves and the new cleaning system couldn't be easier and much improved over the past one. Face still getting accustomed to the blades which can take a week or more. Like the indicator light that tells you if you're pressing too hard or not hard enough. Longer than the 9000 series it replaced. Charging station is separate and the shaver can also be directly connected to the cable, making for a compact package. The last time I used an electric shaver was 20 years ago. That too was a Norelco shaver. (The cool skin lotion model if anyone is old enough to remember). As I grew into adult hood, I used razors and cartridges, and in recent years settled on Harry's since it was easy to subscribe to and high quality, and it forced the rest of the market like Gillette to bring down their prices since they no longer had a corner on the market. However, for some reason, my neck and under my neck and jaw were becoming more and more susceptible to razor burn. I tried different lotions but nothing seemed to help. For some reason I stumbled across using an electric razor as a possible solution to skin irritation. I was skeptical but I was also at my wits end and was sick of the irritation leaving me with a nasty covering of red pimple looking bumps which is embarrassing at 43 years old. The instructions with the shaver say that shaving with it dry even though it is usable as a wet shaver, even in the shower. I opted for the wet shave for the first time and lathered up with my normal sensitive skin shaving gel. That first shave was AMAZING! I have never had such a smooth shave in the last 20 years! The next shave I did two days later was dry and I will never do that again. It left me with all the irritations on my neck, under my jaw, and under my chin that I was experiencing before. For my third shave I picked up a highly rated after shave lotion (Nivea Men Post Shave Balm) and Burt's Bees Cooling shave Cream. I used the Burt's Bees shave cream with the electric shaver after I get out of the shower with a wet face. After the shave I use the Nivea lotion. This combination is stellar! I have never had such a smooth face following a shave and I am super impressed and no more irritations! Lastly, I have also tried shaving once in the shower with the shaver with no shaving cream or anything, just having my face wet. This works well also and didn't irritate me, so I think the key is to have your skin wet if your susceptible to irritations. However I like using the shave cream and the post shave lotion for the extra "coolness" and feeling it gives the skin. ... show more

Nice shave. Never tried Norelco and it's smooth. Had problems opening the cleaning pod and it's all open. Hope it works anyway. But hot water wash always works. Expensive!

While this razor gives a very close shave, the heads are large, and that makes it very difficult to get to the area between my upper lip and nose. It is also difficult to round the edges of my face (coming up from my neck to my chin or cheeks). This is an important drawback. I had been shopping around for a while for a new shaver but have always used Norelco/Phillips products. I had read a lot of back reviews of how large the plastic around the cutting heads were compared to the older models with circle heads. I had thought about going with the row shavers, but I couldn't bring myself to jump brands. I ended up buying the kit before a long trip. The shaver is actually a beautiful piece of machinery. Very heavy compared to my old model. The features with the pressure sensor is a neat at first but I eventually turned mine off. The battery lasts forever, no worries about running out of juice on a longer trip. The one caveat is I wished this came with an active drying/cleaning system like the older models. This cleaner uses the razor to run the pump within the "puck" to pump fluid into the cutter head. It works ok and does a decent job of cleaning, but the solution does not last very long. I clean mine 3 times per week and will be lucky to get 1 month out of a refill. Back to the cutting heads. I took measurements and it is mostly a visual deception. The plastic while it looks large is not much larger than the older round heads. I haven't experienced a single issue with under the nose shaving like some reviewers have mentioned. ... show more
