To me, this is superior to even the "normal" indoor Hue lightstrip because it has continuous lights, and not the segmented LEDs that you have on the other one. I used this to create under-the-bed moodlight, and it works perfectly for that. The power module is slightly bigger than for the indoor one, and the lightstrip itself is a little bulkier (to be weather resistant), but other than that it's a great product, that works similarly to all other products in the Hue line-up. ... show more

Love this light strip for my balcony. One note, the length Philips measures includes the cord, so be careful when measuring. Had I known that I would’ve purchased the longer one. Also this is my first light strip so I’m not sure if they’re all this way but this looks to have some waterproofing glue on one of the ends. after adding to the app, there was issue with not appearing in HomeKit, but after hub reset, the light strip appeared. Lightstrip provides nice nighttime ambience' Would recommend.

I have several of these outdoor and indoor light strips....they are awesome. However, one of the 7'outdoor strips was defective and only partially illuminated. Since I bought several of these in the past few months, I called the Phillips Hue customer service number (some were bought directly from the Hue website). Don't bother....customer service is outsourced and this rep was rude and unhelpful. Thankfully the strip that was defective was purchased through Amazon. Completed the return process and reordered the lights I needed. Amazon is the ONLY way to go...I have never had a issue with Amazon when having to return an item...and it doesn't happen that often. If you are considering any of the Hue products...stick with Amazon....Hue lights are great but product support is non-existent. ... show more

If you want all year lighting that is sturdy, reliable, and unique look no further. The install on our balcony was difficult but worth it. We keep it up year round and set the lights based on the season. For example at Christmas red and green, summer pink, purple and blue. You can set a scene to have the colors change. I used it to backlight a canvas. Easy to install and understand and the app works great. Phillips hue with the bridge is still the best for reliability. The only thing Phillips has ALWAYS been lacking on is brightness of their products.
