Ordered the Pfaltzgraff Sadie 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Blue, because in my experience Pfaltzgraff last forever, heavy duty yet look good! This set arrived with two of the four mugs damaged - handles broken off. The very thin sheet of waffle cardboard paper separating the mugs a nod to "protection" and clearly insufficient. Amazon said return the entire set for a replacement or call Pfaltzgraff. I do not want the hassle of returning the whole set so I called Pfaltzgraff - they are out of stock for the blue mugs, no idea of restock, suggested contact Amazon. This is ridiculous, a loop, and I'm just going to have to just have two mugs. I did not take off stars for poor packaging, that's unfair unless the manufacturer packed the items. The texture on the plates is subtle, just enough to keep food in place when cutting, not enough to get in the way eating or cleaning. Blue color just intense enough with interesting fade to lighter. The colors of dinner plates, salad plates, and bowls uniform enough. However, the mugs were more gray than blue, but they would be served in after plates/bowls cleared so who would know. Me, so, yes, minus one star. I expect SOME level of variation in pottery items but this was pronounced, as if they belonged in a whole different color set. Do buy these, great looking AND heavy duty...heavy, period. They should last a great long time.....IF they survive shipping to you. ... show more

The color and quality of this dinnerware set are excellent. I bought it for my son’s college apartment, and it’s exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, one of the mugs arrived broken. I contacted Customer Service, but they were unable to offer a replacement—the only option available was to return the entire set. Because of our timing, returning it wasn’t practical, so we’ll be keeping it despite the damaged mug. It’s disappointing that replacing a single broken piece wasn’t an option. ... show more

We have had these for months and I don’t stick with dishes for long but these are really holding up. I have banged these on the counter several times. I am not easy on dishes and these hold up well. No cracks or chips so far and color is still vibrant. It’s been months! Pfaltzgraff quality is great. I don’t use the coffee cups much but they seem to hold up as well in the dishwasher. Price and quality for sure a yes! Cups don’t have saucers but salad/dessert plate is perfect and I use it as a plate all the time due to size. ... show more

Wow! These dishes exceeded my expectations on quality and design. They are sturdy, symmetrical, and in perfect condition. The dinner plates are full size and so are the bowls.
