    • Working mostly well on the T500 RS.
I bought this wheel for use on my T500 RS rig for PC and PS4. The open wheel set is essentially the same as the one on the TS-PC set. My whole setup is mounted on a Playseat Challenge so I can move it between the rooms where these systems are. I originally was having trouble using this wheel on both systems for a plethora of reasons I thought were the culprit but it turns out the wheel works fine so long as your base is updated to the latest firmware so the base recognizes the new wheel. This solves the problem of having buttons mapped completely wrong and other bizarre in game behaviors, although you will need access to a PC and Thrustmaster's latest drivers(on their website) to update the firmware. Having been accustomed to the T500 RS's GT wheel and it's static paddles for years now, using the this wheel is definitely bit weird for newcomers to this style of wheel. The general idea behind this wheel apart from being the icing on the cake for a proper open wheel racing feel, is maximizing control. You basically shouldn't have to move your hands from the 9 and 3 o'clock position, which you really can't anyways since half the wheel is "missing". The grips feel nice and chunky though the suede grips feel a little weird at first. That said, it is a nice departure from the rubber GT wheel rubbing my hands raw after long stints. I haven't had wheel mounted paddles since I sold my G27 so being able to keep my hands in one place is also a huge help. Button placement is far less intuitive than the GT wheel though but that's pretty much a given. Overall very pleased with the feel and construction of the wheel. As far as in game use goes, I've only tested it successfully on PS4 so far with Gran Turismo Sport. Absolutely no issues to report whatsoever. However I also tried Project Cars and while everything leading up to getting into a race worked flawlessly, there was absolutely no force feedback upon starting. I'd imagine this is more of the game's fault though I'm not ruling out some madness in regards to the T500's new firmware and/or the new wheel either. I have yet to test this setup out on PC again but after a couple runs in GT Sport with it, I think I'm a fan. Overall this is a quality wheel that works and feels great. I do think if you're looking for more convenience, this is kind of a niche add on for those who really want a closer open wheel/LMP type feel. I still have to few issues to iron out/draw conclusions to with certain games but otherwise I'm quite happy. ... show more

I've had this for about a month now. Very happy with it. Very sturdy feeling. The grips are nice but id wear gloves to keep them clean and grippy. 1 star taken away because the stickers aren't the greatest look but that can easily be changed.

The quality, is TREMENDOUS, and for anyone complaining about removing "colored stickers" or whatever to look more "realistic" they've obviously never paid attention to how colorful the buttons on real GT3 wheels really are. I bought a Thrustmaster T300RS kit from Amazon during a sale (price was too low to pass up!) and I've been racing with that happily since the fall of 2019. I'd been toying with the idea of buying the Ferrari F1 wheel, but knowing that the knobs and dials were fake (or decals) from other reviews, I looked into this wheel and decided to buy it because it is compatible with the PS4 and PC. The good news: it's fantastic. It fits my hands well and I fall into a natural grip with it. Handling in F1 2019 is improved over the stock T300RS wheel, which was good to begin with. I also like that the D-pad and square button are now on the left side of the wheel, which makes asking Jef easier to manage while driving, so it's even easier to tell Jeff to shut up or to ask what's going on with the driver behind me... The bad: The only negative is that the grips will bleed dye on your hands (see photos). A simple "fix" may be to purchase some driving gloves to avoid discolored hands. ... show more
