  • Works wonders but it isn't a magic wand!!!
Works great for my dog. I was not a fan of "shock collars" as I was very uninformed on what they really are. If used properly they do not "shock" the dog. If used properly it is actually no different than you using a TENS unit, it is a stimulation not a shock. I will never use anything on or give anything to my dog that I have not tried myself, yes including food and treats. I put the unit on my arm to test it out. I slowly brought the levels up until I felt the stimulation in my arm. It was not painful at all. I have used TENS units for my back and it was no different. Now if I jacked it all the way up I am sure it would feel like a shock or at least it would be painful. That isn't how you use an e collar, you find the lowest level at which you dog reacts to it. My dog's reaction level was actually lower than what what it was on me. It's just high enough for them to be distracted by it, not inflicting pain. I love the fact that it also has tone, vibration and continuous stimulation, for up to 10 seconds. When I am training a new command, let's say sit, I will use the tone instead of a clicker. So I will teach my dog how to sit, each time he sits properly I tone then treat. My dog understand that when he sits, or whatever new command I am teaching, he hears the tone and a treat will follow. Once he understands what sit means in an undistracting environment then I willI take him into more distracting environments. In the distracting environments I will use the vibration function to hold his attention while giving a command. In these situations he has learned that when I give a command the way to get the vibration to stop is to perform the command. As soon as he performs the vibration stops then I tone and treat. I have never had to use the stimulation function on him. He now understands what is expected when he hears the command and feels the vibration. As to proper use of e collars, these are not magic, they will not help your dog learn any faster if not used correctly. Actually you can do more harm than good if you don't know what you are doing. Do some research online, talk to a trainer that utilizes them, read a book, watch lots of YouTube videos, etc. before you start using an e collar. The main thing to understand is that your dog needs to know the command BEFORE you start using the e collar. It will not do you, or the dog, any good to just tell them to sit while holding down the button. If they don't know what sit means the collar won't make them understand any faster. In fact it can actually do the opposite and create agression in your dog. So 99.9% of the failure is not the dog its the person improperly using an e collar. From other reviews I can bet that is the issue with a good portion of the bad reviews, in my opinion and I could be wrong. The distance for use is pretty good too. I am not sure exactly how far I have been from my dog but it was quite a distance. It works quite well for my needs as far as working distance goes. When you push the button on the remote the collar reacts instantly, there is no delay like I have seen in other e collars. I had another brand I ordered from Amazon, returned immediately, that there was about a one second delay between button push and collar reaction. Not with this unit, it is instant even at great distance. Any delay in reaction between remote and receiver can cause confusion for your dog when training. Overall I am very happy with this unit. It was a great price and very user friendly. It feels great in my hand and the collar fits my dog well. Additional collars are inexpensive if you need to replace or want to train two different dogs. This unit has the ability to have two collars synced to it. There is a switch so you can go back and forth. You can't use it on two collars at the exact same time, only one collar can be active at a time. Hope my review helped, thanks for reading! ... show more

  • Charges fairly fast
Size: Two Dogs
Works well, charges fairly fast. The buttons are sensitive if you put the remote in a pocket you can accidentally push them.

  • BEST THING ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Hey, I use this product for over 3 weeks and it works great. The Best Part about this item is my dog doesn't want to destroy it. The item is very durability-friendly and a very good product. Ill recommend this product to people that need A E collar that is used full in many ways. The battery is a bit on the low side but the the use for it makes up for it. ... show more

  • Great for trainig
Works very well for the dog and uses three different modes for training. Status indicators on devices is a nice touch and well worth the low cost of this product. Will recommend to others with hard to train dogs.

  • Works Great… but.
Size: One Dog - M686 2.0 White
I bought this to help train my 18mth old Australian Cattle dog mix. It does work as intended, and excellent range…. however. CONS: - Due to having buttons and controls on both sides and front, this sets the User up for accidental misfires. Yes, the lock feature prevents unwanted actions as long as it locked and your dog IS performing as expected. BUT you want this because your dog’s behavior is subpar, so you’re going to have the Remote safety lock off a good majority of time. So here’s my regular scenario: Training my dog I have treats in my Right pocket, I may have his Slip Lead draped over my neck, with Poop Bag dispenser and I may be throwing a ball to work on his recall. So, as you know there’s a lot going on here. I switch the Safety Lock off on the Left side, then I press the Intensity Button on the Right to verify I have it set in a Low Position. After throwing the ball I interact with my dog giving him commands, then I wait to see him either Recall or bolt off to who knows where. Meantime my fingers have increased the Intensity unintentionally because my hand is gripping the Remote. Dog then Recalls quickly without a Buzz or Shock , so I switch hands quickly with Remote so I can grab a treat. Dog returns, sits, he gets a treat and I bend over to give him Positive Reinforcement and BAM!!! I accidentally hit the Shock and the dog jumps 4 feet, YELPS, somersaults, lands on all fours, tucks his tail deep and cowers between my legs. He has NO idea what just happened, nor why or what he did wrong. This has happened three times, each time it took lots of attention to settle him down. For this reason I am returning the device for a different model. - The Dark Plastic Cover/Lens of the Receiver is very cool and modern looking, but after first use it came back scratched up and not looking so cool anymore. - Does not include a 5v 2a Wall Charger PROS: - Super-fast charging -After several uses Prongs remain tight, tip covers haven’t fallen off. - Collar is typical nylon weave with sturdy plastic, Click-in clasp and easily adjustable. - Very light, my Aussie doesn’t notice it… even after three accidental Shocks. - Included Charging Cord allows for simultaneous charging of both Transmitter and Receiver. - Second day at Dog Park my Aussie returned with COME command 7 out of 10 times. - Third day at Dog Park he returned on COME command 100% of time over 45 min period. As I said it works great and as intended, however the Button layout on the Transmitter is a setup for failure IMO. I am returning for a model that has a Transmitter that resembles a small Walkie Talkie. The Reostat Intenisity Knob sits on top near antenna. All other buttons, including Lock are on the front of Transmitter. I believe this is a far better design and layout. But that’s MHO. ... show more

  • Great product and customer support
I tried to keep my young Golden Retriever out of culverts during our daily walk where we live up in the mountains on our dirt roads. It was such a game for him and regular training methods were getting exhuastive! I was dreading taking him off leash. There are a lot of culverts out there! As soon as we put the collar on him, it only took us 2 days in tone mode only to break him of it with a corrective "uh uh" with it. It actually only took us a couple times on each walk. Now we can walk with or without the collar on off leash and he has no interest in seeing what is in those culverts. We bought the unit 7 months ago and the receiver stopped working with the shock mode, altho the tone and vibrate still work. I contacted customer service via email at Petspy and they were right on it trying to troubleshoot. A new transmitter is in the mail at no cost. Great product and customer support! ... show more
