After a bit of a learning curve in installation, the most challenging was attaching the hose to the back, go figure! At first, I wasn't impressed with the cooling, it was louder than my window unit, it seemed to get a little hot, and I attached another hose to drain into a bucket. Almost to where it started to OVERFLOW! Now, it cools the room beautifully, the noise isn't disconcerting AND, not a drop of water goes into the bucket. QUESTION, Concerning my latter issue, does anyone know why that is? Maybe I had it in a dry setting or something and somehow figured it out. In the end, I'm glad I didn't have to return it because you end up burning a good $90 in shipping so beware of that. ... show more

Waited patiently 24 hours and then set up machine. Fit the window well, set up well, looks good, instructions good, BUT it does not cool one small shop room. It has been on for 4 straight hours now and the room is barely cooler than outside, which is HOT. Set the temp at 75. But it will never get to 75. the air blowing out seems to be cooler than the room temp, but it is apparently at an ineffective speed. I probably can't return it because I cut the panels to fit the window, but if I could I would. Don't waste your money. ... show more
