This pet carrier is the perfect fit for my 13 lb. Cavachon. I tried the other carrier from Petsfit that was a bit smaller but he looked too cramped in it. The bottom is very sturdy for carrying him & the attached interior leash is much longer than the previous carrier so he has plenty of room to turn around & lay down comfortably. Only thing that I would improve on would be for the carry handles to have a Velcro attachment to keep both handles together while using the double handles. Shoulder strap does not have any padding but it works perfectly for me and is comfortable. I also love that the top opening is so large which makes it easier to get Axel inside the carrier. He does not like going in through the side openings which collapses when it is fully unzipped. It keeps its shape perfectly when all zipped up but does not when one of the sides are unzipped. I still like this one best after trying 6 other carriers. Thank goodness for free returns with Amazon! We haven’t used it on the airline (Southwest) yet and I will update my review after we take our trip next month.

The price point on this pet carrier is excellent. It got the job done. My 12 lb Maltipoo fit into it and could turn when he put his mind to it. It fit under the airline seat in front of me with no problem. It has multiple opening points, which worked well when Harry the Maltipoo started getting antsy. I was able to stick some treats into the carrier and at one point, I fed him some calming medicine the vet gave me for our travels (Please do this! My friends complain when there is a barking, whining dog onboard a flight--please, be respectful to others). My only minor complaint is that the bag does not have the support to make the bottom solid, which made me a bit nervous if someone ran into me at the airport or while I was walking down the narrow plane aisle because I did not want Harry, the Maltipoo, injured. Otherwise, I loved the multiple ways to open and close the carrier and I loved the dimensions of the bag (Perfect fit under an airline seat).

The media could not be loaded. Likes -The sherpa liner is removable and washable. There is also a plastic board that can be inserted or removed, which provides a hard bottom; however, I’m unsure whether the plastic board absorbs scent. - The entire inside of the carrier is made of a waterproof, tarp-like material. This is great for cleanup if a pet happens to have an accident inside. - Once properly secured, the crate feels sturdy, and even when hit or pulled, it does not seem to slip out of place. - Carrier is easily foldable and can be stored without taking up much space. The center section is soft and the two smaller sides are rigid, so when set up the carrier has good structure. - The zippers have metal clips, allowing each zipper closure to be clipped shut, which helps prevent escape. Dislikes - When secured properly, the seatbelt clips position the carrier so that the large window faces the seat. Some people may prefer this, but my pet likes to look around while I’m driving, so this is a downside for me. - The securing clips and seatbelt clips are plastic and not load-bearing, which may cause them to fail in a high-impact crash. There is a non-removable leash and clip inside the crate. This makes me nervous because my pet may chew on it, and there is also a risk of the pet becoming tangled if it is thrashing or actively resisting. - The strap intended to wrap around the headrest had to be fully extended in order to secure properly in my car. Overall - Security: 8.5/10 — The pet is very unlikely to escape the carrier, though there is room for minor improvement. - Safety: 4/10 — If you are planning to use this carrier for crash protection or general safety purposes, I would recommend a different option. This score is mainly due to the plastic securing clips, with the non-removable internal leash contributing as well. - Cleanability: 9.5/10 — The materials and removable bedding make this carrier easy to clean. Size: The size is as expected. It should fit most cats or small dogs. For example, a healthy pug would likely fit and be able to stand and turn around comfortably, but a French bulldog, being wider and more stocky, probably would not.
