This pet carrier is the perfect fit for my 13 lb. Cavachon. I tried the other carrier from Petsfit that was a bit smaller but he looked too cramped in it. The bottom is very sturdy for carrying him & the attached interior leash is much longer than the previous carrier so he has plenty of room to turn around & lay down comfortably. Only thing that I would improve on would be for the carry handles to have a Velcro attachment to keep both handles together while using the double handles. Shoulder strap does not have any padding but it works perfectly for me and is comfortable. I also love that the top opening is so large which makes it easier to get Axel inside the carrier. He does not like going in through the side openings which collapses when it is fully unzipped. It keeps its shape perfectly when all zipped up but does not when one of the sides are unzipped. I still like this one best after trying 6 other carriers. Thank goodness for free returns with Amazon! We haven’t used it on the airline (Southwest) yet and I will update my review after we take our trip next month.

The price point on this pet carrier is excellent. It got the job done. My 12 lb Maltipoo fit into it and could turn when he put his mind to it. It fit under the airline seat in front of me with no problem. It has multiple opening points, which worked well when Harry the Maltipoo started getting antsy. I was able to stick some treats into the carrier and at one point, I fed him some calming medicine the vet gave me for our travels (Please do this! My friends complain when there is a barking, whining dog onboard a flight--please, be respectful to others). My only minor complaint is that the bag does not have the support to make the bottom solid, which made me a bit nervous if someone ran into me at the airport or while I was walking down the narrow plane aisle because I did not want Harry, the Maltipoo, injured. Otherwise, I loved the multiple ways to open and close the carrier and I loved the dimensions of the bag (Perfect fit under an airline seat).

The media could not be loaded. Dog info: 2 Shih Tzus. 15.2 lb and 21.4lb. They CANNOT stand up comfortably, but they can both turn around somehow. I practiced with them for a month prior to flying. When the day came to flying they both went right in the bags no problem. We flew with United Airlines. At check in I was very nervous that they wouldn’t let us fly because they’re both a little big in there, but they were very nice and didn’t even mention the sizes. Maybe we got lucky. The bag is VERY sturdy! They both got a little bored and started scratching at the ‘door’ but the mesh didn’t give in, it’s as good as new after 2 flights, 5 hours each. As for legroom, there’s not much. My husband is 6’4” and he had to use half of my side, on one plane, so I could only have 1 leg down, but I will do anything for my dogs to be comfortable. It also depends on the plane, because on one flight I could have both feet down but the other one had almost no room. I would recommend this for anyone flying United Airlines, as it is the exact measurements they describe on their website.

This carrier is perfect for my big heavy cat! He's 12lbs and loves to stretch out so he was very difficult to measure, he can be as little as 16" long or as long as 22"... I guess he's made of some sort of liquid or something. But he fits perfectly in the carrier and he actually loves it!! If I leave it open he'll go right inside and hang out, and if he's closed out of it he cries for me to open it for him. It's nice and sturdy, the frame is actually so sturdy that I can't squish it down at all so I hope it isn't too tall to fit under an airline seat. I was worried the mesh looked too soft and thin in the pictures and he does have some serious claws, but the mesh actually feels fairly firm and sturdy to the touch. He's tested it out with his claws and so far he's done no damage. The only thing I would change about this carrier is that I'd prefer the bottom to actually Velcro or zip into the carrier. My other pet carrier has the bottom velcroed in and this one just sits freely inside the carrier, and I could see him lifting it up easily. But overall I still give it 5 stars!

It looks nice but the rods are too long, the measurements are also off. I compared to my other ones with a height of 11. This is taller than 11in.
