Description

The Pet Safe Wireless Fence pet containment system is a revolutionary concept that provides the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. Plug in the transmitter somewhere inconspicuous in your home. The transmitter emits a 17.5 kHz radio signal around your home. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar that "listens" for the signal. While the collar is receiving the signal, your dog is free to run and play in your yard. When he approaches the boundary of the signal area, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. With a little simple training, your dog will quickly learn his boundaries. The training of your pet is a key element with the Pet Safe Wireless Fence. Follow the easy instruction and training manual that is included.

Our two 20 pound dogs have a love of digging under one side of the fence and running around the neighborhood. We tried everything we could think of. On top of that, on the other side of our yard live 4 large German Shepards. And when they started terrorizing each other through the fence, it sounded like someone was about to die! The Pet Containment System was easy to set up and understand how it works. Our dogs never go past the safe zone and no more digging or terrorizing the neighbor dogs. Only problem we've encountered is their potty area is now smaller as they used to go out by the fence. So I think we'll have to lower the settings to allow for a little broader area for them. Our dogs had a wire electric fence for years - we were afraid with the round boundary of the wireless that it may be an issue (compared to the 1.5 acre rectangle we had). They have never ONCE tested the boundary. The install was literally two minutes and the fence worked immediately. We have only had it three weeks so I cannot speak to the battery length in the collars. Buy it today! ... show more

    • Not reliable and a huge waste of money. DO NOT BUY
I purchased this item to help train my dog with a new backyard at our new house. This thing has never been reliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Then today when my dog was standing at the back door waiting to be let it, she suddenly started shrieking. The collar was shocking her and she was nowhere near the boundary! Once I got her inside to take the collar off, it continued to shock her. I was literally standing next to the transmitter holding the collar in my hand and it was still shocking. I am absolutely outraged. I am requesting a refund as this piece of crap was not cheap. Do not buy this product. ... show more

I thought I was sent the wrong item, but it was sent in two boxes and the packaging just looked different than the listed item. Haven’t used the fence yet, but I have family members that have the same devices and they work well for them.

    • Beware of any obstacles.
I am sure this is a good product, but for once I read the instructions before removing all of the contents. I saw that there were many things that can cause interference with the boundaries for the "fence." Some of the things that can interfere are cars, metal sheds, in fact any metal can interfere with the barrier. I feel that this will make it very difficult for training, and even determining where the barrier will be from day to day. I'm disappointed that this will not work as I felt that it could be a great way to keep the dogs safe and in the yard without burying wire or putting up a fence. ... show more

I had so many people telling me this thing would work but I had doubts. How was I supposed to trust something I had never tried before and couldn't see? I hooked it up easily though, and my two dogs haven't been outside the boundary since. I am very very happy with the purchase. They roll around in the mud and woods and the collars are easy to clean and take care of, it came with plenty of flags, and we have the transmitter plugged in under our guest bathroom sink so you can't see it and the boundary is in the right place. It makes me feel so good that I can let our two dogs out to roam around and explore without being worried they'll run off. I still keep an eye on them of course, but really helps put me at ease. Not very effective. The circle is not exactly round and you have to have it on high in order to get a 90 ft circle otherwise you get a 45
