More than one pet? No need for two feeders! The Healthy Pet Simply Feed with Meal Splitter lets you feed both of your pets at the same time. This feeder holds 24 cups of dry or semi-moist food and dispenses it using our uniquely designed conveyor system. When food is dispensed, the meal splitter evenly divides food between both stainless-steel bowls. The feeder portions your pets' meals, so if you want each pet to have 1 cup of food at dinner, schedule the feeder to dispense 2 cups of food. If you have a pet who eats too quickly, the Slow Feed feature dispenses meals larger than 1/8 cup a little at a time over 15 minutes. You can schedule up to 12 meals per day from 1/8 - 4 cup portions. If you want to prevent one pet from eating more than their share, use the optional privacy panel as a barrier to help keep peace during mealtimes. To clean, place the meal splitter, stainless-steel bowls, bowl holder, lid and hopper in the top rack of your dishwasher and handwash the conveyor system. Your pets deserve the best. I was really afraid that this would be like programming a casio watch from the 80s...and that I would have to keep the 20-language thick manual around to handle minor adjustments. But kudos to the developers. This is a very simple interface, with just a few buttons, and while it does remind me of a digital watch, it is more intuitive and does a lot with a (very) little processor. Does it have downsides? yes. the lid latches but not hermetically (like it sounds like some people want). If your cat is particularly smart or motivated, ramming this thing over could get them the treasure. But cats are pretty heterogenous and my two just pray to it like some cult god, too scared to touch it. And the dual-exit attachment does a great job of splitting the portions. Do the cats move the bowls sometimes and send kibble all over the floor at the next feeding? yes, but then they hunt for 30 minutes to find every bit. it's the best "slow feeding" bowl ever (although the seemed to have figured out not to mess up the setup recently). So I guess, know your own purpose first. Would I leave for a week with just this running? It's not foolproof, so maybe, if you had a camera and a neighbor could check in if it messed up. It probably won't though. But maybe have a fallback. I'm using it for intermediate feedings, mainly to keep the cats from meowing at our bedroom door at 5am. Also if we're going out for a day trip and may come home late. Keep them satiated for a few extra hours until late dinner. And for that it's worked great. ... show more

My cat figured out almost immediately that is she can smack the food chute, more food will come out. She then determined that the best way to accomplish this was to bite down on the chute, pull on it, and let go - you can probably imagine the loud *THOCK* sound this makes. OVER AND OVER. This is super annoying to hear when you're trying to watch a show or read, and the cat is obsessively chomping on the food dispenser. This has led to an arms race of sorts, where we devise ways to try and stop the cat from messing with the food chute, and she figures out how to get around them. See the ghetto ass box rig in the photo - trust me when I say: I'd rather not have done any of this. So with that all said, I will give the product 4 stars for actually being a very reliable little food dispenser. It does exactly what it's supposed to and it does it without fail. The clock accuracy does drift after a few months and now it's feeding them a few minutes after the hour, but otherwise I have no complaints in that department. ... show more

We bought this feeder for our two cats when we don't take them out of town with us. Such peace of mind! When you dive into the manual, there are tons of settings, even slow feed (dispenses half of the portion and the rest in 15 mins) for those cats who eat all at once. You can feed them up to 12 times a day (or 24 if you do slow feed). Our intent was to use it for long trips, but now we even pull it out for shorter trips. Cats hate robo feeder in general, so it only comes out when we are away. Doesn't come with a power adapter but we already had one that works perfectly. And the splitter is great for keeping the food portioned between two separate bowls - I doubted it but it's just about an event split. Worth it! ... show more

I really don't know how we lived without this. Our cats would wake us up around 3am-4am asking for food and there was no sleeping until they eat. We have the dual bowls/splitter and have the timer set to dispense their dry food at various times when we would normally feed them. You can pick the amount of food that is dispensed and the food chamber is big and hold a lot of food so we pretty much fill it and forget about it and they are fed like clockwork. The media could not be loaded. Work well and easy to set up! I initially worried they might afraid of the dispensing noise, but it actually not too loud and they ran toward it whenever they heard it. The ability to unlock controls and dispense the next feeding manually has mysteriously stopped working (less than one year of use). It was always pretty glitchy but now it just doesn't work AT ALL. The time lags after a few weeks. I have my feedings set to 415 and 515 but they are now so delayed that they don't go off before 420 and 520. The settings are unnecessarily complicated. I had to dig out the manual just to change the time of the feeding. You can only set the food distribution amount by volume, not by weight. I also now realize i would have preferred an auto feeder that has an app so I wouldn't have to get out of bed if my cats are being particularly whiny and need a manual dispense. ... show more

Bought this with the two bowl splitter for our two cats for while we were gone on vacation, it worked very well on the trail run the week before we left. But I noticed when we got back it was trying to dispense food but there was a bunch stuck up in the splitter by the conveyor so a little bit of food was coming out but not the correct portions plus it was mostly putting all the food into one bowl instead of evenly distributing to both. Luckily it must’ve only been like that a day or two so no kitties went hungry! It was very easy to un-jam tho, just had to jiggle the splitter and knock the remaining stuck kibble out from the top of it. Definitely not a set it and forget it kinda food dispenser, especially if you’ll be away for awhile I’d highly recommend still having someone check on your pets incase it jams like it did for us! Otherwise it worked quite well, my bf had a hard time with the directions and setting the portion sizes and times but we eventually got it working how we wanted. We both like the conveyor style so atleast even with the slight jam we had it still spit out some food, and the locking lid was nice so it didn’t turn into a kibble free for all. ... show more
