The cats were a bit hesitant due to the 3 flaps.The puppy taught them well, they would run in with him or right behind him. I have seen other doors for the same price with one flimsy flap. These are a great alternative to a pre made door with doggie door and look like the doors were made with them! We bought 2 and installed one in a wood door and a metal door. The templates were perfect and made the installation easy. The flaps are nice and heavy to keep out heat and bugs (we live in Florida) and even though they aren’t see through my dog uses them without issue. I wasn’t sure if I should go with the large size, my dog is a 30lb pomsky, but he fits through the medium just fine. The metal covers are a little tricky to get in the tracks but the latching mechanism works well. Very pleased with this purchase!!

I bought this to use for my dachshund to get in and out of my place that has some steep stairs. They still use it to get down the stairs so they end up just sliding down the ramp because it is pretty steep but it seems to be pretty good weatherproof My get some pretty good wind and rain out here as held up really well so I would recommend it definitely for some Fur parents that have a little bit longer legged animals

My Jack Russel and Chihuahua love to go in and out of the house all day long so it was time for a doggy door. I bought this one because it looked to be decently constructed and a good size for them to go in and out of. I like that it has flaps on the inside and outside which help keep bugs and rain out. The flaps are held in place with magnetic strips at the bottom of the door. I only have 2 complaints with this one. The inside and outside metal door inserts are a pain to slide down in the tracks and should have a better way to secure them beyond a single spring loaded latch system. My second complaint is the spring latch on the outside of the door has already started to rust and it's only been installed for a few weeks. Hopefully it lasts! Overall I'm satisfied and it does it's job.
