  • Dog crate
Color: TAUPE/BLACK Size: 36"
Nice crate that is sturdy yet not extremely heavy. I like to use the enclosed crates for my dogs to give them a private spot which is den like for them. I keep the doors open all day and they go in and out for naps and sleep. I have two of these, would buy again. Dogs like them.

  • Keeps Dog Safe
Color: TAUPE/BLACK Size: 36"
Great to keep my dog safely contained while I'm away at work. She can't break out; despite her best efforts. A wire crate was no match for her and I had to zip tie that one shut. This one is easy to assemble/disassemble to load into the car for traveling.

  • Good but not the one you want.
Color: TAUPE Size: 90-125 LBS
I had to buy 3 kennels in the XXXL size because you cannot rest assured they will arrive. At size XXXL they jump up in price and, I imagine, due to the huge size they present some sort of problem to shipping. Now this makes no sense to me as a couch will arrive or a fridge with no problems. However, when it comes to dog crates for air travel - they like to test your patience and risk your flight plans. Let me be clear that I was buying this for air travel internationally. If I was buying this as a crate for home I would have been happy. But I wouldnt have been as happy as if I had bought the SportPet one - because the truth is that’s a much better kennel. However, I wouldn’t have known that - so I would have been happy. The reason I know is because I had to buy 3 XXXL crates after ordering my first which took a week past due to not arrive and then was just cancelled. This one was the safety bet - Prime delivery and sold by Amazon. It too was 5 days late. So what I’m saying is - if you have travel plans that involve a XXXL crate. Make sure you start your purchase with 4 weeks to spare at least. Don’t count on doing it 14 days before - you may well end up crate-less and not be able to fly. It may arrive damaged! It may be cancelled! It may take 20 days to arrive. I bought 3 and only one made it in time. The SportPet. The reason the sportpet wins is because: 1, it comes with the metal bolts - this one doesn’t and you have to have them. 2, it has a far superior door latch. 3, it has detachable wheels and these are a life savior in the terminal/cargo depot/car park. They don’t fly with them but they are brilliant for this size of crate. 4, it’s stronger. Marginally. You can just tell that the sport pet is a better product, better made. So - my advice is - if you are looking for a home kennel/crate and this is on sale at a reasonable price that isn’t near the insane $400 - get it. It’s fine. However, if you are flying internationally - don’t. Get the sportpet and don’t even consider this. I have moved my dog from the US to Dublin and to London. Tried and tested and bought both crates. ... show more

  • Indescribable.
Color: TAUPE Size: 90-125 LBS
I don't write reviews often, but my wife and I agreed that we needed to share about this kennel. We rescued a Great Dane and Labrador mix a year ago and it has been extremely difficult. Like a similar reviewer, he has extreme separation anxiety, and he seemed to have had a severely traumatizing experience with traditional wire crates when he was young. we were told that he was crate trained, but after the first few weeks, he began to have some scary episodes. He would chew on the bars of the cage, causing saliva to pool on the floor under the crate and creating a dangerous hydration situation for himself (my wife and I are teachers) while we were gone. He did this so much that the bars rusted and were no longer as effective. He started breaking out when we were gone, forcing us to try many ways of keeping him in like zip ties and carabiners. When he got out he was extremely destructive and, in several occasions, would get into dangerous things like medicine (which one time landed him in detox at the vet for three days). After a while, we gave up on the crate entirely, but he was still very destructive. He ate our wedding album, all remote controls, including an Xbox controller, and pretty much anything we left out ever. It was never fun coming home. We were so frustrated, and we just about gave up on our beloved pup. We thought we might look into crates again after summer and found this kennel. Is it expensive? Absolutely. As teachers, we saw this as a huge leap of faith money-wise. In the week we have had this, we have seen DRAMATIC change in behavior while we are away. It's so nice not having to worry about the mess he may have made while we are away or cleaning it up when we get home. He also seems much happier when we come home. He used to bark and howl when we got home. Now, he sits and waits for us to open the door. No more drool pools!! Even when we are home, he will walk in and lay down in the box. That is something that never happened before with the wire cage. If you are planning on purchasing this kennel, it is important that you make is "cave" a positive place. Our dog gets fed in his crate, any time he goes in the crate he gets a treat, his favorite toys are in the crate, we have put our clothing in the crate, and we have even spent time laying in the crate with him (this should also give you an idea of just how big this box is). Make it a happy place. They will want to spend time there if they know that there's something good coming out of it. UPDATE: 1/28/2015 Unfortunately, we have had to return our crate. We bought it during winter break, knowing we would have time to make it a positive place, and that his first few stays would be short. When we returned to school (we are both teachers), he became so stressed about going in that he would not even lick the peanut butter out of his kong the entire day. Instead, he began chewing on the metal bars on the door. After about 10 days of crating and chewing, he broke the soldering on one of the bars on the door and cut up his nose and gums. Mostly, our issue is the dog. He is a rescue who was abandoned as a puppy, so he has extreme separation anxiety. However, I do believe that the soldering on this box is the main issue here. If you notice that the dog has started bending the bars, act fast. ... show more

  • Overall Good - But need to work on QA
Color: TAUPE Size: 90-125 LBS
Overall this is a sturdy crate. Would have been easy to assemble if they would have punched out the hardware holes properly. Many of the holes that the bolt needs to go through to attach the upper to lower have were not punched out. Also be aware (which they state) that this is not ready to be used for air travel as the nuts are plastic. Read airline requirements. Also note if you by the air travel kit, there is not enough hardware for all the connection points of the larger crate. ... show more

  • Pretty nice
Color: TAUPE/BLACK Size: 36"
This thing is huge. 36" seems like overkill. Your dog will have plenty of space if it's a husky or other medium sized dog. Easy to install, maybe around five minutes. -1 star because product could be made cleaner.

  • Very nice kennel.
Color: TAUPE Size: 90-125 LBS
Very nice kennel. Would have given it 5 stars, but it arrived damaged (an insignificant corner piece had broken off in transport I suspect), most likely due to poor packaging and handling. Easy to assemble and quite functional.
