I bought this a while ago and it’s still standing. It’s a great way to have cats be able to access higher places like a loft bed, easily come up and down it while saving space. I had no problem putting it together at all and it’s holding up amazingly. One of my cats is on the bigger side so even when it shakes a bit when he jumps up I have never even thought of doubting the sturdiness, every once in a while if it shakes too much it will tilt a little to a side but all you have to do is readjust the top bit. I can not attest to the sturdiness of it on its own seeing I have it in a corner against 3 things so my cats can get up and down from it. The bed at the top may be a bit small for bigger cats but it’s also sturdy and I’ve never had a problem with it even when my bigger cat is sitting on it. It’s too small for him to lay down and get comfortable but it’s big enough for him to sit. I quite enjoy the scratching posts amongst the length of it and I know my cats do too.

Just stood this up five minutes ago, so she’s too involved with the squirrels outside to realize she can climb up LOL, but here are my impressions: - very good quality and modern style looks nice in our living room - no gross cheap carpet, very well-finished with no rough edges. The fabric is very soft and nicely wrapped on the bottom of each level, so even from below it looks nice. Yes, you can see the seams on the round posts where the fabric is joined, but barely - if it bothers you, just screw them in so the seam faces the wall. - easy to assemble - maybe 10 minutes - though for optimal strength and security, you’ll want to turn the posts really really tight, and for that you’ll need some strength or help from someone who has it. If you have arthritis, for example, you’ll want some help. - you’ll need a step stool or ladder to place the tree with the tension rod, because you will need to be able to use one hand to pull the tension rod top down while you stand the tree upright, and then release it to hold it in place. - the L bracket I couldn’t figure out how to use, as the hole for the bracket is about 6” from the edge of the platform, but the L bracket is only 2” long. It would benefit from having the reinforcement, so my suggestion is to plan to buy a longer L bracket from the hardware store, or perhaps use another method to secure it, e.g., using a short piece of rope to secure it with an eye hook in the wall. - our cat is 7lbs. and she’s the perfect size for the tree. Our cat who just passed was 21” long, and she wouldn’t have been able to lay anywhere on the tree. All in all, I’m incredibly pleased with the quality of the tree for the price - just fantastic. (I know everyone hates on products made in China, but there shouldn’t be any complaints about this one, considering the $59 price and what you get.)

Easy to construct; fairly easy to install. Nice that it fits different ceiling heights. The basket on top is super tiny—only kittens can fit in it. The platforms are also fairly small. My smaller 9lb cat fits just barely laying down/easily sitting upright. My 17lb boy can’t go past the second level. Too wobbly and platforms too small for him to comfortably ascend. Wish it had scratching posts on every level as they love those. It does wobble once it’s installed but the kitties learned to adapt to that sensation. It’s been a nice addition for them to sit and watch the world outside and play with each other from different levels. Overall: good purchase!

I have three of these and just bought two more. Yes they wear out a bit over time and wobble a bit when your cats go tearing up it at 3am. Over time they do benefit from the occasional staple in the carpeting or rehab to the sisal rope. I think these actually make my cats’ lives better. Much more stable than any scratch post that doesn’t touch the ceiling, even the short ones. New use is making these the ground connections for an above ground kitty highway. Meow.

This is a great cat tree for our needs - we have a fully grown 5lb cat who adores it. I keep mentioning that she is 5lb pounds and stressing she is fully grown because I would hate for you to think this would work as well for a 20lb cat or for a currently 5lb kitten to grow into! Now, she is little, but fearless, strong and reckless - she just throws herself around like there are no consequences - this cat tree holds up to her abuse, but she gets it swaying sometimes! But after 6 months of use, it still looks great (she DID chew that dangly ball off - obsessed with elastic! lol) and she still loves it. We have moved with it - it was easy to put together, easy to take apart and reassembled just as easily and is as good as ever in its new location. As long as the ceilings are not abnormally low or high, this will fit - it uses a tension rod to kep it upright. That little perch at the top is just big enough for my cat to curl up in - the sisal scratching areas are put to regular use and are holding up really well. the platforms are a good size and I like how you can kind of arrange them according to what works best for your space/cat. I would happily buy this again and again, but if my cat were much larger or expected to get much larger, I might look for something that is built differently, not depending on tension to stay up.

First, the Cons: 1) The materials are cheap. The shelves are MDF and not particularly dense MDF at that. They would easily break under vigorous use by a heavier cat or use by multiple cats. The fabric covering on the post/center pieces and shelves is thin and flimsy. It definitely won't hold up, long term, to cat claws and/or teeth. The sisal wrapping around the center post/pieces is thin and flimsy. As with the fabric, I doubt it will last long term. 2) It's not particularly stable. I didn't end up using the PVC coupler or the second piece of tubing as my ceilings aren't that high. If I had higher ceilings, I wouldn't use the two pieces of included PVC on the top tension bit. I'd go to Home Depot/Lowe's/hardware stone and buy and single piece with the thickest walls I could find. I'd also forego the little disk and engineer something with more real estate to spread the load of the tension across. However, I don't need that and using just a single section of PVC and the included tension disk. I purchased a heavy duty L-bracket from the hardware store, found a stud and mounted the bracket to the cat tree and the wall stud. This made it infinitely more stable. My kitten is currently 4 pounds, so we'll see how that holds up over time. And now for the Pros: 1) The overall concept is nice! It's tall, simple and minimal. If it was made of higher quality materials, I think it would be a really nice cat tree. (I intend to actually see if I can make a nicer version, with slightly wider shelves). If you have a small space, don't want to drill a bunch of holes in the walls, or just want something clean and simple, it's a nice design. I also like the light, neutral colors. 2) My kitten really likes it! She's five months old and started climbing all over it even as I was building it. She easily made her way to the top of the cat tree and slept up there for a couple of hours. I'd say it's a better "ladder" to access other places than as an actual cat tree. 3) It works decently for smaller and lighter cats.

I honestly really love this cat tree ; it was super easy to assemble, sturdy, and adjustable, and my cat loves it and even utilizes the scratch posts, saving my furniture 😅 Also, the soft pink color is pretty and subtle enough to not stick out like a sore thumb in my living room. It takes up very little space so my small living room also doesn’t look crowded or cluttered. It is infinitely better than a large and clunky traditional free-standing cat tree. My only complaints are that: 1. The perch on the top is wayyy too small, so that even my small cat can’t fit in it, and 2. Both of the little dangly poof balls that come with it immediately broke with the slightest tug on the elastic string. These are both minor inconveniences, and overall I really love this cat tree and would definitely recommend it.
