My cats are obsessed with their floor to ceiling cat tree/pole - lol! We have tall ceilings and this tree/tension pole worked perfectly for our space. Visually, it seems like it isn't sturdy, but it actually IS. It will wiggle but your cats are safe on it. I have two large male adult cats and they both enjoy scratching and sitting on it, and even play with the little ball toys it came with - which is new for them, because they usually could not care less about the toys hanging on their furniture for some reason. It's really affordable and mid-tier quality, but still sturdy. I do wish there was scratching rope on the entire pole portion, but I can't complain for the price. They love scratching the spots that ARE there. The gray color matches our couch exactly.

Just stood this up five minutes ago, so she’s too involved with the squirrels outside to realize she can climb up LOL, but here are my impressions: - very good quality and modern style looks nice in our living room - no gross cheap carpet, very well-finished with no rough edges. The fabric is very soft and nicely wrapped on the bottom of each level, so even from below it looks nice. Yes, you can see the seams on the round posts where the fabric is joined, but barely - if it bothers you, just screw them in so the seam faces the wall. - easy to assemble - maybe 10 minutes - though for optimal strength and security, you’ll want to turn the posts really really tight, and for that you’ll need some strength or help from someone who has it. If you have arthritis, for example, you’ll want some help. - you’ll need a step stool or ladder to place the tree with the tension rod, because you will need to be able to use one hand to pull the tension rod top down while you stand the tree upright, and then release it to hold it in place. - the L bracket I couldn’t figure out how to use, as the hole for the bracket is about 6” from the edge of the platform, but the L bracket is only 2” long. It would benefit from having the reinforcement, so my suggestion is to plan to buy a longer L bracket from the hardware store, or perhaps use another method to secure it, e.g., using a short piece of rope to secure it with an eye hook in the wall. - our cat is 7lbs. and she’s the perfect size for the tree. Our cat who just passed was 21” long, and she wouldn’t have been able to lay anywhere on the tree. All in all, I’m incredibly pleased with the quality of the tree for the price - just fantastic. (I know everyone hates on products made in China, but there shouldn’t be any complaints about this one, considering the $59 price and what you get.)

This is exactly what I wanted. Easy assembly. The height was perfect for my porch. I did need to shorten the security poll at the top by cutting 4”. It has a tension spring that you push down to fit to the ceiling. This is an important feature otherwise it would not be sturdy. I did attach an extra support half way down to secure it even more. I highly recommend doing that. My cat loves it!!!

Like any screw-in scratcher, this is a workout on your wrists. I was nervous about getting it to work with my ceiling height, but I just had to get the tower in place, get on a stepladder, tilt the tower sideways to add the pressure plate, and then push it all the way down and stand the tower back up. It was precarious. But once that was done it looked great. The big design flaw is that the set includes an L-bracket for stability that doesn't account for baseboards or floor trim. The tower has to stand 1/2-3/4 inches away from the wall and the pre-drilled hole for the L-bracket sets the edge of the bracket flush with the shelf. So that doesn't work. Also if you have a very large cat (12+ pounds maybe) I probably wouldn't recommend it just because the platforms aren't very large. The top bed/basket is basically too small for my bigger cat and he's only 6 months old (probably weighs 10 pounds though, he's built like a body builder). Otherwise, great tower for a really nice price.
