My cat is a sob. He's been peeing on carpets and blaming his siblings. I setup a camera and caught him. My house stinks. I borrowed the bissel spot cleaner and bought this and the bissel icy post. This stuff smells awesome! The only thing is my cat keeps peeing so I'm sure if it's covering up or removing the smell entirely? It does smell great and cleans like a dream. While I'm at it, anyone want a cat? He's a blue point himmy. He's all yours.

This stuff has not worked well for me. We have a rug that we got from Pier 1 and it is mostly white with some gray on it. Terrible thing to buy when you have 2 dogs who spend a lot of time outside, but it's the only rug I could find that I liked for our living room. Well, our dogs like it too. They like to roll on it and sleep on it and make you think it's supposed to be a tan rug. So, for xmas I got this Bissell carpet cleaner and bought this pet shampoo to go with it for our rug. Everytime I clean it with this stuff I end up having to clean the whole rug 2-3 times. I run over individual spot stains like 30 or 40 times and usually they don't come out! Finally, I had enough. I poured vinegar on the stains and in an instant the stains came out. So, the next time I cleaned my carpet I filled half the tank with vinegar, half with water and cleaned my carpet that way. . .I only had to run over the rug once and hit a couple of stains a few extra times. It was a million times simpler to just use vinegar and water instead of this shampoo and so much cheaper too. Maybe it's the material of my rug that the shampoo doesn't work on. . .I don't know, but it doesn't clean well enough for me.

Let's start off by saying I have 3 dogs. Yup, three: small, medium and large. Medium is a little older, and very lazy, and will occasionally have a carpet accident (why you can't just pee on the hardwood or tile sections of the house that are easier to clean is beyond me; we need to have a talk). Small, who was fostered in a home that used pee pads that just encouraged him to pee in the house and whom I have been trying to break of this habit ever since, will mark if he sees that Medium has peed. Good times. So, I have one section of one room in particular that depresses my soul and needs to be cleaned every couple of months with a rented steam cleaner. I bought the Bissell Little Green ProHeat Compact Multi-Pupose Carpet Cleaner, and although it comes with cleaning solution, I decided to add the pet-specific formula to my cart. Glad I did so. Large is our latest rescue, and although she was generally healthy, surprisingly, given her situation, she did need to be dewormed. She was scheduled for her last round of pills the same week she got sick. Really sick. Stop reading if general grossness and bodily fluids from all orifices disgusts you. But if you're reading carpet steamer and pet stain reviews, you likely have some of the same issues, amiright? She was throwing up, diarrhea, and finally, blood in both of those. Uncontrollable. She got the wall to wall carpeting, plus 2 area rugs (plus wood and tile, but tg I have a steam mop for those areas), all in multiple areas. And you can probably guess by the 5 star review, but the steamer and this solution got them all out. First try. No marks, residue, nothing. It's like it never happened (except to my retinas, which can never unsee such things). I will also mention that most of this cleanup happened at approximately 4am, when no one is in their right mind, and even given that and my skills at that hour, It. Is. All. Gone. (sidenote: Large ended up in the hospital with so many different kind of worms, all of the worms, but is fine now. And we love her, so we were not mad about the carpet steamer test). So, in a nutshell, I would recommend this solution. A thousand times yes.

Really works at cleaning and removing pet urine smell!. I use a 1:1 dilution (1/4 C water to 1/4 C Bissell cleaner). I honestly don;'t know what they mean by "2X" . I've read different dilution instructions on Bissell bottles labeled "2X". My dogs urine smells really strong so I just use what's best for my situation. At the dilution I use, it completely gets rid of the urine smell but it has a very strong perfume smell. The perfume is not masking the urine. As the perfume smell dissipates the urine smell is definitely gone.

I have a 3 month old pup that I am currently house training. I thought I was cleaning up her accidents but after purchasing a black light, I discovered my pup was sneakier than I realized. I purchased this solution along with the Bissell Little Green carpet cleaner to eliminate the urine smell in my apartment. However this pet stain & odor solution DOES NOT WORK! It is a real waste of money and time. I purchased it because of the great reviews, but to be honest this product does not really work. It is either this product does not work or my 3 month old puppy has super strong enhanced urine.... I used my black light to find those hidden urine spots, I used this solution following the instructions, and 2/3 cleaning later the spots are still there AND the spots are still super noticeable under the black light...it's almost like I never cleaned it. I tried increasing the solution to hot water ratio. I tried putting 2x the solution over each old urine spot. I tried using the pet boost oxy formula.I tried scrubbing the carpet 10 minutes after the solution soaked into the carpet. Nothing has worked..... Many people have recommend Nature's Miracle products so I will be switching and trying that next. However, one pro of this product and that it does have a pleasant smell.

Didn't pay close enough attention to the small print on label. Used it in my up-right cleaner figuring it couldn't make THAT much difference. Wrong! Used on two different kinds of fabric material and both made streaks/lines that seemed to follow the brush alignment. Like a clean/dirty color difference in the streaking. Heavy saturation with the machine along with throwing water down on the material attempting to blend it in, somewhat helped as well as a few days of settling in but overall wasnt that great. Oops.
