This is a nice idea to have something of your pet after they pass. Our Schnauzer is still with us but getting on in years. I have already started collecting some of his fur and put some into the keepsake. The hole to place the fur is pretty small and requires some time and patience, but once in the keepsake and the stopper replaced, it looks good. The shape of the Schnauzer on this keepsake is well done and it comes with a keychain that has the key ring on one end and a lobster clasp on the other making it easy to attach to things. This is a nice keepsake for a beloved pet. Our little guy is turning 16 in a week and we know our time with him is limited as his health has really started declining this year. I plan to put this in a shadow box with his collar when he crosses the rainbow bridge. The size is just right if you actually use it as a keychain but I fear it wouldn't hold up for that kind of everyday use. I feel it is of good quality and good value for a beautiful way to remember your furbaby. As others said, it is difficult to get the hair in, but once in, it looks very nice. This is thin plastic so I’m not sure how well it will hold up over time. My main issue is that the hole where you stuff the hair in is so incredibly small! They don’t include any sort of tool to make it easier so I’m using a toothpick and putting a few hairs in at a time. At this rate I’ll have it filled by Christmas! The keychain is nice so you can clip this to your bag etc but with the plastic being thin, I’m worried it may break off. I’m clumsy and because of this, rough with my things. Final verdict: The shape of the dog is cute and I love the idea…but even at $6 bucks, I wouldn’t purchase this again. There has to be better out there! ... show more
