Wow what an upgrade! This putty tat went from a small studio in Manhattan to a luxury condo on the burbs! He HATED the old carrier. It took a minimum of 2 people to force him in the thing! I've had the new one opened for less then 10 minutes and he already WILLINGLY went in by himself! He is a fairly large boy and still has plenty of room as you can see from the picture. I love that I can secure it in the car with a seat belt and that is has mesh windows on all four sides plus the top to let in more light. Set up was a breeze and I love that it can be stored flat with no more than a quick unzip! No bars to disconnect inside, just unzip, fold the sides down and viola! The structure is very sturdy with a solid bottom that won't sink in when you carry it with the pet inside. I have yet to test this baby out on the road but something tells me he will do much better in this carrier compared to the old one! Highly recommended!! This one checks ALL the right boxes!! **Update** 2 years later and I'm still in love!! I've used this now on many road trips including and trip from Ohio to Georgia and back. The quality is still just as good now as the day I bought it. I even tested it in the washing machine to see how it would hold up. Cleaned up nicely and still holds a perfect shape. I would let it air dry though. Not sure how it would hold up in the dryer. Still very happy with this purchase! This one was made to last!

Awesome carrier. My kitty loves it so much. We leave it out for him to use in the house so that he can get used to it and be mor comfortable with the carrier for car rides. He’s grown to use it to sleep almost every day and it’s basically his bed now! It’s padded at the bottom but I add a blanket for more comfort. There is a strap for you to seat belt it to your car for safety. It’s not 100% unmovable and secure once belted in but it’s better than your kitty flying across the car during an accident. I can attest to the sturdiness of this carrier because my 5 month old kitten has taken to sleeping ON TOP of the carrier instead of inside most of the time and it’s still standing up fine, maybe a little saggy. I know one day he will jump up to sleep on it and it will topple over but for now it’s holding up super well. This carrier is totally worth your money! Easy to disassemble and becomes flat when you want to put it away, nice Velcro features to hold the flaps when you unzip them, and big enough for my kitty to grow in when he becomes an adult cat!

I have two small dogs, so I bought two of these for a trip we will be taking soon. One of my dogs is a rescue FROM a rescue society, and as such, she's used to being schlepped around to this or that pet shop for meet'n'greets with potential new owners. But my other dog was rescued off the streets, and he has no car manners at all. He is a nightmare while driving - he whines, paces nervously, tries to sit on you while you're driving, wants to be everywhere you don't want him. We were rear ended a few years ago with him in the car - he was launched toward the windshield from between the seats, where he'd been trying to come up front. Luckily, I was able to get my arm up fast enough to stop him, or he'd have been a guided missile through the glass. This little kennel prevents mishaps like that because it has a strap across the back which allows you to thread the shoulder belt through and hold the kennel in place in case of any sudden stops. The dogs can see through the mesh, so it's not like they're in a box. There's just enough room for him to turn around and get comfy - he's a little bigger than our other dog, so he's a little squished in there, but there's plenty of give in the side and top walls, so he can move around if he needs to. But he has, so far, laid down and been much more settled while we're on the road. The whining has all but stopped, and he seems to be ok with the ride, for the most part - maybe it's due to being able to see and be close to our other dog, and we tell him to watch her and do what she does. It's made traveling with him a lot easier, and I think it helps him be calmer, too. Great, lightweight, good quality stitching and construction.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The BEST Pet Carrier I’ve Ever Owned - And I’ve Tried Many! As a proud cat parent, I’ve gone through more pet carriers than I can count - soft-sided, hard plastic, top-loaders, side-loaders - you name it. But this carrier? It’s hands down the best one I’ve ever purchased. First off, the price is fantastic. You’re getting quality that rivals (and frankly beats) carriers that cost twice as much. But what truly sets it apart is the thoughtful design. There are multiple ways to get your cat in and out- which, as any cat owner knows, is a game-changer when you’re dealing with a squirmy, reluctant passenger. Even better, the entire carrier opens up in a way that makes it feel more like a cozy, safe space than a trap. My cats don’t panic the way they used to with traditional carriers. They’re calmer, more comfortable, and even willing to hang out in it before and after trips. I’ve already purchased six of these carriers (one for almost every cat), and I’ll continue to buy them as needed. Honestly, I hope they never stop making this model. Nothing else compares - not even close. If you’re a multi-cat household or just want a carrier that actually makes travel less stressful for both you and your pet, this is it!

I love these cat carriers! I don't think I could find such quality at a cheaper price. When I opened the packages and looked them over for defects, I was just in awe of how well they were made. I have 3 cats, so I bought 3 carriers to take them all to the vet at the same time. They do fold down for storage, but I leave them up in case of an emergency. This carrier is very sturdy, the bottom doesn't buckle from my cats' weight and the sides do not collapse inward. The bottom of the carrier consists of a wooden board, covered with the carrier's material and a soft pad for you pet to lay on. In the back corner of the carrier, there is a lead to restrain your pet and prevent him from jumping out as soon as you open the carrier. There are 2 zipper enclosures, on on the front and the other on the top, both of which can be rolled back and fastened with the velcro strips. There are mesh windows on all 4 sides and the top of the carrier. There is 2 carrying handles on the top that can be fastened together with the velcro. There is even a loop on the back side of the carrier for a seat-belt to go through to secure your pet in a vehicle. This is a very spacious carrier and allows for enough room for even larger cats, including my Maine Coon mix. I couldn't ask for a better carrier for my cats.

I was in desperate search of a doggy car seats, make that 2 car seats that wouldn't break my piggy bank! I have 2 11/12 lb poodle mixes-Armani and Versace. I scoured the pages of all the popular pet stores, but wasn't satisfied with anything and hated the prices! I read a ton of reviews for this product and I was very skeptical. I decided on this product because it doubled as a carrier, so I figured I was getting more bang for my buck. I ordered Wed evening, free shipping with prime, got it Friday evening. Perfect for our 6 hour road trip from the Bay Bay to LA. Packaged nicely and loved the vibrant turquoise color. Now, if you have a 20 1b short dog, he should fit. Armani is 12 lbs, but is a little shorty--he fit quite comfortably. Versace, his brother from a later litter, is 11 lbs but has long pony legs! Quite frankly his legs are too freaken long! But, he too fit once he curled up a bit. He was able to lay down but he must be like 20.5 or 21 inches and this thing is 20 inches. Maybe I would have gotten him the next size if available. I like that it opens on top and on the front side. I found that leaving the top open for the car ride would be impossible as they both jumped out multiple times in an effort to get on my lap. There is a tether inside that hooks to their harness and I really liked this feature. I left the front open and once they got used to it, they liked being able to see in front of them. My dogs are spoiled, never been crated, don't have much discipline so they really pushed my buttons for the first hour of our trip---literally cried and whined for an entire hour! I remained strong and they eventually fell asleep. By the time we were on our way back, they loved their car seat/carriers and slept quite comfortably. Armani especially likes to lay in it if I leave it around the house.

I bought this about a year ago for my cat. She is larger than average at about 11-12 lbs (she looks like she might have some Maine Coon in her) and she's not a fan of carriers and car rides in general. The size of this carrier is perfect for her. The small size would have been cramped. All the vents give her a great view of her surroundings from every side, so she is much calmer in it than she was in her old plastic carrier. It also doesn't give her fur static cling like the plastic one sometimes did. This carrier can be unzipped flat, which makes it easy to clean and store. There is a soft pad inside that attaches by velcro and can be thrown in the washer. I also love that it has both front and top openings, so I have options for loading my cat into it when she's not being cooperative. The zippers all work great and I've had no problems since I bought it. The handle is comfortable for me to hold. There is a loop in the back to pass a seatbelt through and two little pockets for carrying treats to give her during the ride. There is also a leash-like collar attachment inside that can be used to restrain your pet if you want them to sit in it like the dog on the picture. I'm ordering a second one for our new kitten, who by the looks of him, will grow out to be a big kitty too. I just wish they would make them in multiple colors in this size.

We love this thing! I was pretty skeptical at first because, let's be honest, collapsible items usually aren't the best quality, but this thing is wonderful! The zippers all pull nicely, the bottom is solid so your cat isn't "melting", the mesh is good quality, and my cats are obsessed with the soft insert. We live in a small apartment, and this thing folds down and stores, which is just another win for it. Sometimes, we'll just leave it out and our kitties go in and sleep in it. I repeat, SLEEP IN IT. I'm telling you, they love this thing. It makes it so much easier to go and travel somewhere because they aren't afraid of it. It seems pretty roomy, and our cats are a little larger than average. The mesh tops and sides seems to help them feel like they have a little more room since they can push on it and make it move to their liking. If you're debating on getting this, stop debating and just do it. We have this one and a hard shell and we almost always prefer this one.
