My 6.6 pound Yorkie was very comfortable traveling in this. It fit pretty well under the seat considering it was a " no frills" airline, so space was less than on some airlines . She was happy to sleep on the flap of the main door when unzipped with a small blanket. Best feature -it attaches to a suitcase handle for easy maneuvering through airport.

Easy to figure out how to extend, seems pretty durable. Fits our 10lb siamese for a trip to the vet, but her 13lb sister is a noticeably tighter fit. Both cats will sleep in the bag if it's left open on the floor, so it must be comfortable--but it's definitely not large enough for either to stand up and walk around. This would be a great carrier for a group of kittens--space to sprawl and play.

It was very helpful. We traveled for 4 days as we were moving to another country and the cats did pretty well in it. I love that they have extra room to stretch their legs when you open the side pockets.

Had my boy in here for 2 hrs while in the shop and he tore a hole in one of the doors. He can escape from it now if he wants to. The sewing for the supports in the top were easily ripped and come out the bottom broke on the 50yd walk to the main building.

I bought 2 of these for traveling from Michigan to California through the airport, plane, and car for my move across the country with my 2 cats. I likes that they expanded with extra space so they could have more room to stretch and lie down when waiting at the airport. I used them each ONE time. Yes ONCE. To take my cats to the vet one last time before our move. When I was leaving the vet the long shoulder strap, specifically the metal part, snapped off and my kitty went flying into THE CEMENT GROUND FROM HIP HEIGHT. RIGHT ONTO HER FACE AND HEAD!!!! I was sobbing trying to comfort her, see if she suffered a concussion, if there was trauma, or bleeding. ONE USE! ONE TRIP FROM THE CAR TO THE VET BUILDING AND THEN NOT EVEN TO THE CAR!!!!! AND THE METAL HOOK COMPLETELY BROKE OFF and was unfixable. Returned today. Absolutely fuming that my kitty suffered such pain and such a scarry fall from my shoulder. DO NOT waste your money on this garbage. I feel this company owes me compensation for the horrible experience my cat and i went through.

What a clever idea. A real step up from your usual cat carrier (or even small dog carrier). While it has the usual dimensions for a regular size cat, both sides can pop out for more room. Just like the slide outs on an RV or a travel trailer. Since this carrier will be housing a Maine Coon (size large cat), this extra room is important. Additional plusses: + Mesh door at each end opens so put the cat in at one end and remove at the other. + Nice fluffy base that folds up when the sides are up but folds down when the sides are open. + Top zippered pocket with hole for dispensing something (poop bags? Wet wipes?). + Top zippered mesh allowing you to reach in and pet the cat (or apply treats). + Good, robust zippers. + Carrying handle and clip-on sling (with a pocket to hold it). Only a couple of slight negatives: - Can't really carry around with the sides down, well not for any time or distance--too unwieldy. - With the sides and the fluffy base both up it restricts the internal volume somewhat. The Maine Coon has to squeeze in for sure so have to put down and open the sides. These are minor considerations. It's a great cat carrier. Recommended.

I'm not one of those folks that carts their pet with them around everywhere they go - my pet carriers travel no farther than the vet. So this is serious overkill for my needs. But, it truly is amazing how every possible convenience has been included. Of course, the obvious - the entire carrier can be completely collapsed into a very small space when not in use. When unfolded, it becomes a standard type carrier, with duffel-style handles and zippered entrances on either end. There's also a handy embedded laptop-style strip that can be slid over an extended handle on a roller-bag, so kitty can ride safely along on top of your suitcase through the airport. But, much like a posh RV, this carrier can double in size when you have room to spread out! Both side panels unzip and expand, making for far more additional space than a conventional cat carrier. You can use this if kitty will be stuck inside for a long time and needs room to stretch, or, if you have a particularly large cat there's no need for it to feel cramped. All the zippers - and there are many - feel well-built and heavy-duty, and there are velcro tabs where extra fastening might be needed. There are pet carriers both cheaper and more expensive, but considering the feature-set, this one is hard to beat as far as value-for-money. Recommended!

The manufacturing seems good quality. I do like the ability to open it up and expand the space the cat has to move about. However, this carrier is meant for smaller cats or kittens. I have a small adult cat that doesn't fit very well. She can lay around in it, but standing isn't comfortable for her. She has to hunch down in order to stand. I know that it is meant to be airline compliant. But, as far as everyday use, it is too small for average or larger sized cats.
