Over the course of the last several weeks, I have strategically placed the discrete units in crucial locations, including behind the tool chest, next to the threshold of the garage door, and around the perimeter of my kitchen cupboards. I was able to see the most significant advantage within the first three days: the typical scratching sounds that occurred throughout the night had disappeared. In the early hours of the morning, I used to hear the sound of small scuttles reverberating, but now there was nothing but stillness. In spite of the fact that I searched the typical hiding spots for a whole week, I did not discover any new droppings or bite marks. This continuous deterrent effect gave me confidence that the repellent was doing precisely what I wanted it to accomplish, which was to create an invisible barrier that prohibits mice and other tiny pests from treating my house as if it were their own. The adaptability of this product is what sets it apart from others. In addition, I have installed units in the storage area in the attic, which was formerly occupied by squirrels that had eaten through a cardboard box. Since then, not a single child who was in the attic has come anywhere near it. As a result of my previous weekend excursion, I even slipped a few pieces into the trunk of my vehicle, where I had seen some very little footprints close to my emergency kit. When I got back to my house, I discovered that the insect repellent was still securely in place, and there was no trace of any bugs whatsoever.

Did not deter the mice. The only thing it did successfully was made the trailer smell funky. Good old fashioned mouse traps caught two the first night I had the scent pods out. Seems like a waste of money given my experience with them.

After finding mouse droppings in my garage cabinets, I wanted something less gruesome than traditional traps to try first. These repellent balls seemed like a good option to start with. The packaging is simple but effective - each ball comes individually wrapped to preserve the scent until you're ready to use it. The mesh bags included are a nice touch, making it easy to place them in corners and under cabinets where mice might travel. The peppermint smell is actually quite pleasant to humans - gives my musty garage a fresher scent that isn't overwhelming or chemical-like. I placed them in several spots around my garage and storage areas about 3 weeks ago. Setup literally took minutes - just unwrap, drop in mesh bag, and place. Much easier than setting traditional traps! So far I haven't seen any new droppings in the areas where I placed them, though I did notice some activity in a far corner where I hadn't put any balls. The scent seems to be holding strong after almost a month, though it's definitely less intense than when first opened. One unexpected benefit is that the garage smells much better when I'm working out there. Can't speak to exactly how long they'll last yet, but the peppermint odor is still noticeable when I get close to them. My cat doesn't seem bothered by them at all which is good since she sometimes hangs out in the garage. One minor issue is that the mesh bags are a bit flimsy and one tore when I was positioning it behind some boxes. Overall, I appreciate having a less aggressive option to try before resorting to kill traps, and the pleasant scent is definitely a bonus compared to the harsh chemicals I've used in the past.

There is still mouse poop on the corner and where it usually poop even it not in the corner. I put in the middle also. But if you put on the hole then there is no mouse poop there.

When I first took one out of the package, I immediately noticed the smell. However, I found that if I'm not holding it or hovering over it, they really don't smell that strong. Where I use these is in my work trailer as we've had several rodents tear into our trailer and tear up lunch bags, go through cabinets and just get into everything. I have now had these repellents in our trailer for about a month and while they were breaking in almost daily but definitely weekly, nothing. I was able to put these in areas where they normally tear through but nothing. We do have our boss's dog on location with us but even with these around the dog doesn't even notice them and they haven't been harmful for them. The dog won't really go in those areas but even when they're a few feet away, nothing has happened to the dog. However, we also don't have any rodents either so a win, win in my book!

This product is not as described on Amazon. The Amazon description is "Pest Rodent Repellent, 24 Pack Peppermint Oil for Mice, Mouse, Rats, Spider, Roach, Ant, Bugs, Squirrel, Insect Repellent Pest Control Indoor & Outdoor Use, Natural Mouse Deterrent Family & Pet Safe." The product packaging says it is a "Mouse Repellent." No reference to squirrels, ants, roaches, insects or anything. Additionally, the package warns to keep "out of reach of children and pets." Hardly family and pet safe.

Well packaged to protect the scent and plenty of sachet bags. Despite having surrounded my pool as best I can hanging these 3-4 feet above the edge of the water, I have not seen an appreciable decline in the number of times wasps are stopping to drink. Not a very strong scent from my point of view. I bought these because they had such good reviews, but not in my experience.
