When I got the item, I didn't really know what to expect. However, after I assembled it, I thought it was nice. I'm used to a much thicker pole between the base and the lamp shade. I didn't care for the shade so I purchased one that was a little more decorative and not as cheap looking. I was very pleased with the features as it relates to the dimming and the 3 color temperatures. I prefer a brighter bulb but overall, I really like the lamp. You can also set the lamp to turn off in 1 hour. That was a nice feature should you be in bed and doze off while the lamp is on. I placed this lamp in an area of the living room where it is not easily accessible, but needs light. I used to have another tall lamp there, but to turn it on or off using the button on the lamp meant some pretty yoga-like twisting on my part, around the sofa and a curio cabinet. Now, I use the remote! What a great idea. I generally keep it on the regular "yellow" light setting, but the bright white and "bluish" light work well too if used. The lap was as easy to assemble as any tall segmented floor lamp. The one feature I don't use is the floor switch. This foot pedal actually gets in the way when vacuuming the area, so I put it behind the cabinet. It only turns the device on or off, so the remote, with brightness control, is much more useful. ... show more

Super easy to assemble. Remote is magnetic but could use a stronger magnetic for it. The light bulb comes with it and has a decent range for brightness and contrast. Base is decently heavy so I have no worries if it tipping or falling with my cat and dog running around. This is a great lamp. I work from home and it's so nice to be able to adjust the brightness and tone when I have so many Zoom meetings. But not only is it a great product, they have fantastic customer service. I recently moved and lost the remote in the move. I contacted Pesrae customer service - Carol from Pesrae responded right away and helped me to get a replacement remote. Just don't see this level of customer service much anymore!! ... show more
