Good quality for a decent price. I ordered six Persilux zebra shades for my second floor bedrooms based on recommendation from AI. The installation was very easy and straight forward. Installing the first one took me about ten minutes. After that it took me about 5 minutes each to install the remaining ones. They look great (especially with the updated aluminum cassette) for the price. I did not have any issues with any of them. About the low star ratings due to fraying at the edges, this would happen with all zebra shades even with high priced luxury brands. You just have to be careful when using them and follow the instructions. I would definitely recommend the brand. Save your money and stick with this brand.

Happiest purchase of my year so far! They came carefully packaged and sooner than I expected for a custom made item. They look fantastic from outside my house as well as the inside. The installation was incredibly easy and they are such a high quality. We did inset blinds and we purchased blinds for majority of the windows in our whole house. The black ones are just as beautiful as the white ones. Measure carefully and they will fit perfect!

Update 11/23/24 - I ended up ordering 3 more. 1 of the three was indexed properly (properly in this case means indexed the same as the first blind I purchased), 2 were not. This would mean 2 of the 4 windows in the room would have different fabric alignment. Further, of the 2 that were different, they were not the same as each other. Only 1 of the three, the one properly indexed, had perfectly even fabric front to back. I've uploaded a photo of this issue. I was able to disassemble the first blind (referenced below) and correct this issue but this should not have to be done by the customer and it's a huge PITA. I have ordered 4 more in the hopes that I receive 2 usable, matching blinds. I'll also note that I'm a trim carpenter. The blinds were installed correctly, perfect lever front to back and side to side, shimmed as needed. This was done before the blind was hung and issues were noted. Original Review - With all the great reviews on Azn and Reddit, I was expecting a better product. I had my doubts, so I ordered a single blind to try. I'll start with the good: the aluminum body is sturdy and the finish is quite nice. The fabric is also solid, it has a nice low sheen look and it's free from defects. The brackets are functional, though I'd prefer a bracket that would allow the bind to be mounted flush against the window frame. The include brackets require a half inch space behind the blind to allow attaching / detaching the blind to the bracket; Front release brackets eliminate this issue. On to the negatives... The fabric is not straight. When The blind is in an open position (not open as in raised up but with the sheer fabric aligned) the overlap exaggerates this major flaw. It appears to be the back fabric, which is off on the right side by about a half inch. Completely unacceptable. The other issue is that the rail does not hang straight. It is twisted a bit, the left sits a bit toward the room while the right sits a bit toward the frame. It's off by about a quarter of an inch. Again, unacceptable. This could be a great product. Assuming the mechanism has a bit of longevity to it, I would imagine these would be a better option than stock store bought zebra's. It seems that the issues I address could be handled pretty easily with a little better QC. I'll add that I purchased the Origin 21 zebra blind and the Allen and Roth zebra blind, both stocked at our local Lowes. This Persilux blind is better built, minus the fabric issues. I might have received a bum unit and it may be worth taking advantage of Amazon's return policy to get a complete, flaw free set by buying several extras and cherry picking the best units. Given the issues I already had, I'd be concerned that the fabric would line up blind to blind within the same room. I may give it a shot and if I do I'll update this review.

Yes these are fresh, modern, and relatively easy to install. I believe over time the edges of the fabric will fray threading through the roller in the bottom carousel. Blackout is an exaggeration, as I assumed it would be. NOTE if you have a larger window and need to line up two units in a single widow there are two issues. One, the top cassettes are lined up perfectly and tight, but the gap between the fabric is too large. And secondly, the zebra bands don’t line up even though the installation of both is identical.
