These blinds are terrific. The material is great thick and strong. Unlike some others that material is very flimsy. It has a strong metal chain, not a plastic chain. Has a nice valence with four hooks to attach to the wall. You cannot see the valence from my photos as my husband made his custom-made to hide behind the door trim. Their customer service is awesome. We ordered ours customized to our size to fit the door trim my husband made. When received we received the wrong color. I emailed them on Christmas Eve 2023 to notify them we had received the wrong color. My husband told me it's the holidays and they will probably not reply until after the holidays. Nope, on Christmas Day they were emailing me back to apologize and to let me know they would ship me the correct one ASAP. We highly recommend them. We love our blind. ... show more

These blackout shades are actually quite nice for the price. I mounted on September 6, 2021. They block out almost all the light pouring into my bedroom. See picture showing view from outside of bedroom looking in. Notice how the bedroom is dark compared to the bright light coming into the bathroom to the right. Then see photo showing how bright my bedroom is without blackout shades. As is the trend with all blackout shades, the lateral sides don’t go all the way to the edge of the window, resulting in a tiny bit of light peaking through. But it’s seriously minimal. Coupled with blackout curtains over these blackout shades, I would have complete darkness in my room. The curtains are not necessary at all, but it’s an option. I got a pair of the WHITE 26” inch and mounted them inside window frame. Just make sure you DO NOT mount with the supplied screws. They are really bad quality because if you plan on removing hardware to readjust shades, the screws won’t want to work with the screwdriver as it will start producing magnet shavings when turning screwdriver. In the end the screws won’t unscrew. Trust me on this one, if you can use your own good quality screws please do so or don’t tighten them too hard in case you need to remove. The material in front has a nice texture and should be easy to wipe clean if needed. The back is plain white blackout paper, I suppose. I would recommend as an affordable option :) It’s counterpart, the light filtering roller shade also by Persilux that I used in my living room, instead, are absolutely stunning. I definitely love them more than the blackout shades in the bedroom. But these blackout shades look good and do the job beautifully. I’m happy with them. 4.5 stars because the screws were bad quality and because one of the shades came with a very tiny rip on the back side paper so when looking at it up front, there’s a minuscule peak of sun coming in. I will cover it with white tape and should be solved, but wish I didn’t have to do that with brand new shades, you know. ... show more

We got these to cover windows on a Westward facing wall. In the summer, this side of the house gets ridiculously hot and we were looking for a way to limit the heat. These work great! Not only do the block out the light wonderfully, but the temperature difference inside is very noticeable. Reading other reviews, I took note not to use the screws that were included with the set, but used stronger ones instead. I will say that the instructions are poorly done. It's fairly simple to figure out, but I was definitely a little bit annoyed with that part of it. ... show more

I ordered these blackout shades not really knowing what to expect because I didn't purchase any samples first. Let me tell you, these shade are WONDERFUL! I am so pleased with them I have ordered more for my other rooms! They came packaged very well. No damage what so ever! I have wood encased windows, so install was a breeze! 6 screws for the large center window and 4 for each side window. These are custom sizes, so they needed to be verified by the seller and they did a FANTASTIC job getting back to me to confirm measurements and making sure what I said I needed was correct. I can't say enough about the product and process because I called a professional company to measure and get an estimate and it was so astronomically high that I was discouraged to do anything about the windows. Our house is set back on our lot so the urgency wasn't a problem but our windows are big and our guest weren't able to sleep in because I had no window treatments. This was truly a great experience, and I would totally recommend this company/product to others. ... show more

I love the quality, the color and the texture! It really blocks the light. The installation has to be done carefully or you mess it up the wall with unnecessary holes. I’ll buy more for the living room.
