  • Inexpensive Floor Jacks
It looks to me many of the low cost floor jacks from $50_$0.00 dollars are made by the same manufacturer. This little jack has a lift pad that is 1-7/8" outside measurement . I doubt you can find a lift pad that small. The lift limit is 15" measured from the floor. I'd wager a less expensive jack with the same lift capacity would work just as well. (think Goodyear, NAPA, Pittsburgh, Harbor Freight etc). Why spend more than you need to? I'd also wonder if a hydraulic 'bottle jack' with the same capacities as this jack might be a better investment. A user is going to have to bend a knee while using this floor jack and/or a bottle jack. ... show more

  • This jack is an amazing buy for the money.
This jack is an amazing buy for the money. I will only use it a dozen times a year and it is just dine for me. Plus: Solid heavy construction Metal wheels Fluid is already installed Carrying handle. Minus: Pump handle is shorter than I am used to. Release valve seems abrupt until you get used to it. It needs a real slow turn. Wheelbase is narrow so you need to have it on a solid surface and the car well blocked to be sure it can't tip over. You would do that with any jack though. Rob says- The narrow wheelbase and short handle are done to save shipping costs and therefore price. I can live with that. I can lengthen the handle with a bit of pipe. I'd say that if you are not a working mechanic using the jack daily this one will do just fine and the price is great! ... show more

  • Nice jack, one detail I didn't like
It is a nice small floor jack, good up to 2 tons. Low enough so I can use on my VW GTI and tall enough I can lift my wife's Ford Escape. It seems to be sturdy and well designed, and I have used it a couple of times with no issues. The one thing I didn't like is shown in the picture attached. In order to open the relief valve, one must use a screwdriver. How hard would it have been to weld a small handle instead, so no additional tools are needed to operate the jack? I understand it probably is a safety feature, but still... ... show more

  • No problems
At first I did not like it. It was smaller than I thought it would be, and the handle is not permanently fixed. After a few uses it grew on me. Since it's small, it stores away nicely for me, and I grew not to mind the handle not being fixed to the jack. Plus it's not super heavy to move around. Price was right. ... show more

  • works fine
As with the other reviewer, I use this for oil changing (with jack stands) and for rotating tires on a small car (Honda Fit). Both this and the Wilmar jack stands work as advertised and seem very well made. For those who have not used a floor jack: when you get it you will need to back off the hydraulic valve with a screw driver a few turns and pump the handle a few times to disperse the hydraulic fluid. Do not get carried away with either the valve or the pumping or you will lose fluid. Then tighten the value and pump it up. If it goes up OK you have done well. ... show more

I'll say if you can spend more dollar buy something more expensive above 200.I have found anything below 100 are all crap but for ppl like me who used every 3 months its acceptable.Caution for prius or any low clearance vehicle the jack pipe is too small for leverage.I would have returned but i threw the box so I couldn't return. ... show more

  • Wilmar Floor Jack 15-Inch Lift
Have used this floor jack several times. Pumps up smoothly and quickly. Not that heavy to carry around. Especially for me as I don't have a garage and have to lug it outside to work on my car in my driveway. Hopefully it will last as long as my old one did. Few years at least. Time will tell.

  • Not bad, works well
Not bad, works well. as soon as you receive this thing, throw away or grind down the inside edges of the black removable cover on this thing. I went to pull it from underneath the car, (un-weighted of course), and sliced the hell out of my fingers.
