What a great pet carrier! It’s made of very sturdy material and has metal hooks and fasteners for the shoulder strap instead of the plastic ones we have on other carriers which tend to break easily. All the metal zippers move easily and don't jam or get stuck. It comes with a collapsible water dish (extra perk) and a shoulder strap, or you can just carry this with the handles. The very top opens to allow your pet to pop their head out, but when zipped it doesn’t sit flush with the rest of the carrier, but this doesn't impact it's use. When compared to another favorite carrier this one is quite a bit heavier but only slightly bigger (a little bit taller), but it's because there's a thin board in the base to support the weight of the pet. You'll want to let the vet know this as they tend to weigh pets in the carrier and this one is slightly heavier than most. There is an opening on the end, and one side has strong mesh so your kitty or smaller dog can have a look-see. For more viewing options there are little flaps on either end that you can roll up and Velcro in place. There is also a zippered pocket to carry paperwork or small items, and on the opposite side you will find straps to help you to settle this on your luggage handle. The board in bottom of the carrier is covered in what looks to be a waterproof cover and Velcro-ed to that is a soft padded cover. It looks like it would detach easily for quick cleaning in case of an accident. So far this looks to be a top notch carrier. We have a certified chonker (about 16 pounds) and this carrier is quite comfy and roomy for her.

My cat hates being crated. Most cats do. Her previous carrier was a little on the small side and of course, the only time she's been in a carrier was a trip to the vet. She is a Maine Coon/Ragdoll mix and is a little over a year old, weighing 11lbs. This carrier fits her well and she has room to move around in it. Even though she looks unhappy in my pic (caught get mid meow), she was only at one end of the carrier and had room at the other end still. We recently had to take her with us (for a non-vet car ride), and even though she protested, it was much easier to get her in through the top opening. She did try to push through the mesh, but quickly figured out it wasn't letting her out. She's not declawed, but we use the pretty claws nail caps, so she can't scratch things, but she didn't even try to claw the mesh. I'm not certain if other cats with claws would try this or not and how well it would hold up. The carrier is sturdy and my cat calmed down and was happy to be able to see easily out of all sides, rather than limited view. The carrier is built with quality and the addition of the collapsible bowl and nametag are nice. I am very happy with this purchase.

BEST carrier I have ever used!!! I had one very similar to this that I found on clearance at a store about 10 years ago. It has started to fall apart and I have been searching for a good replacement. I can finally stop searching! This is EVERYTHING we wanted and more! We have 3 cats and one of them is quite heavy and round. We need a carrier that opens from the top just to get him in the carrier. This one is much more sturdy than our last one. The material is very high quality and the cats loved the pad that came with it. They love to lay around in it around the house! They aren't afraid of it when it is time to travel and it is so easy for them to get in and out of it. Assembly is very easy and it folds up very nicely for storage. I cannot say enough good things about this carrier!!! If you have a small pet and are looking for something for long trips or just in town, this is the carrier for you!

This might be an unorthodox use – but I got this carrier to transport my box turtles as I travel between my home and vacation home. I have been searching for something that will not stress them out. They are a little spoiled and not accustomed to being penned up. This carrier, with mesh sides and a fleece floor pad, will allow them to ride comfortably and observe their surrounds. The quality of this carrier is superb. The material is sturdy, construction is excellent. There is a zippered end to allow cats, dogs (or turtles) to be placed inside. A zippered panel on the top allows me to check on my critters. The fleece floor is attached by Velcro and can be removed and laundered. The is a shoulder strap and handles for ease of carrying. The carrier is of ample size and its cost is mid-range for this type of product, but the quality is superior. I highly recommend it, and not just for turtles. Submitted

This pet carrier is great! It has so many features I really like. It's sturdy and comes with flaps on the sides that can be opened or kept close. It comes with a shoulder strap, a water or food dish and a tag to put your info on. The bottom is nice as it overlaps a little on the sides and it's velcroed on so you can detach it to wash it. It also has two pockets to store things in. Every airline is different, so you still want to confirm this size when booking. I just leave it out and open around our cats prior to traveling so that they can explore it and it has their scent on it so it's less stressful on the travel day. Overall, this is a really great product!

This is a great carrier for those routine once a year vet trips or official airline travel. It’s great that it meets the airline requirements. The zippers were all smooth and the fabric was pretty typical but nice. The carrier offers good ventilation and multiple ways to open it so you can use whatever works best for your animal. I think the carrier is a great value for the price.
