We have used this for the past 3 years with great success. We get our live douglas fir tree the day after Thanksgiving and every year feel bad tossing it after the new year because the trees are still in such good shape. We have also used the miracle grow tree saver product in the past, but I feel this works a bit better (never needed to vacuum needles during the season) and is a better value. i recommend to buy this before you get the tree because i noticed those first 4 days my christmas tree drank sooo much water. i poured this concentrate the 2nd day we had the tree, and only refilled the tree stand with water 1 time. My christmas tree lasted over a month and was barely dry, when i took the ornaments off and it was time to throw it away, barely any pine needles had fallen off, actually prefer this product to the one i bought at the tree farm a few years ago. would definitely recommend! ... show more

Having only a dull saw and a busted elbow, I wasn't able to give my tree a fresh cut completely through. I was only able to saw a bit in all the way around and was sure our poor little tree wouldn't make it to Christmas. I'm certain this product is what kept it green all through the season. The only needles that fell came off when I had to readjust something on the tree and even then it was a very minimal loss. The media could not be loaded. We used this product for the first time this year and will definitely use it again. Our tree was cut the day before Thanksgiving and put in the stand two days later. We used this every time we watered the tree and I honestly think we could keep it up until February! We are taking the decorations down on February 9 and we’ve lost almost no needles this season.     • Keeps the tree fresh for longer
I typically use Miracle grow for Christmas trees but they were out of stock so I came across this and figured I’d give it a try. It works just as well if not better. My tree was not ready to be recycled or taken down. The needles weren’t drying up either. I know this stuff helped to keep it fresh for much longer. Will buy next year as well! ... show more
