To replace our 7 year old 7.5 Pre - Lit Blue Spruce which we purchased back then at Home Depot and it has alway worked flawlessly and has always appeared to look real. The reason for down sizing . It weighs to much for me to continue setting up yearly. I have to say thst we are very happy with our new purchase. This Balsam Hill 6.5 Spruce is truly a blessing it’s beautiful. We are a “live tree” family. With kids out of the house and getting a little older, it is harder to go out in the cold and pick out a Christmas tree and tie it on top of the car. Time to simplify. I ordered this tree thinking I would have to “settle” for an ugly plastic tree. I was wrong. This tree looks so real. It’s beautiful. I spent about an hour fluffing every branch and that process did not disappoint. So very happy we made the switch and purchased something so lovely. It totally looks like a real tree. Great faux tree, it looks pretty realistic to me (someone who grew up on having real trees for Christmas) It is VERY easy to assemble and has a great and convenient foot clicker to turn the lights on and off. It even comes with its own bag for easy storage.

Tree was easy to put together in three simple parts. I like the balanced look of the tree with the incandescent lights. The tree with the LCD lights was way too bright. We were unable to see the ornaments clearly. Balsam Hill made the exchange easy for me.

    • Big Mistake... Read before you order a pre-lit tree

Purchased this tree last year on Dec. 5th. Out of the box, it was fantastic. Tree looked great. Set up the tree this year and 3 of the strands do not light. I researched on line to trouble shoot. Essentially it's one of the lights in the stand, the fuse light (grey base) or a fuse in the plug. First issue, Balsam Hill uses lights that are specific to their product. You cannot pop a light out of another non-BH set and use. Second issue, I bought the tree on amazon & when I contacted Balsam Hill, they refused to send me replacement bulbs because I did not buy directly from them. They offered to sell me replacement lights. Keep in mind, the tree has a three year warranty Third issue, tried finding replacement lights on amazon. None to be found . Good luck finding the the "fuse bulb' anywhere Fourth Issue, Balsam Hill customer support is by far the worst 'support" I have received in memory. People are nice, policy is zero. It's like dealing with a company stuck in 1987. Long story short, do not buy a pre-lit tree. A complete pain in the @ss to try and fix or repair. The tree is great, buy an unlit one and put the lights on yourself ... show more

I got really nervous ordering this 9 ft tree after reading reviews that said it was not a real Balsam Hill product. What came to me was in Balsam Hill boxes, had Balsam Hill instructions, Balsam Hill ribbons attached and looks fantastic! I’ve always had a real tree and I didn’t believe an artificial one could fool anyone. My husband convinced me to give it a try, and I went on a hunt to find the best fake for the lowest price. And here it is. We love it! I probably will continue to do the fluffing of it all season but I find it kind of fun. The size is ideal for spanning to a second floor. ... show more

The only problem we had was that a couple of branches hung too low so we had to install thin green wire to support them from upper branches.
