We absolutely love this PEQULTI Gothic Cat Tree. The first order was unfortunately lost by FedEx, but the seller was very responsive and helpful and quickly arranged a replacement. FedEx also ensured the second delivery arrived correctly. Assembly was easy and straightforward, and the floor-to-ceiling adjustable height makes it feel very sturdy once installed. The design looks great, and the multiple tiers give our cats plenty of space to climb, lounge, and scratch. Most importantly — our cats LOVE it. They were on it immediately, using every level.     • You need to balance the tension correctly

Easy enough to put together. Quality is adequate—cheaper materials, but doesn’t look as cheap. I’m happy with it. Soft, works well and doesn’t fall if you put enough tension. It def shakes when they jump on it, but apparently I’ve done it tight enough that it doesn’t fall anymore. It fell twice at the beginning when I got it 5 months ago because I didn’t have it tight enough, but it hasn’t fallen since. All the cats love jumping/running up it because it is sturdy enough. I did not use the strap attached to one of the shelves to secure it to the wall. If you look hard enough, you’ll see I also twist the shelves in different directions to make it easier to climb. My cats have never really had a cat tree before/haven’t had access to high places most of their lives (cats are currently 7 & 8 years old, and roommates 6 month old kitten).     • Fantastic addition to our kids bedroom! Reinforce the box for extra support.
We purchased the cat tree to support our 5 cats in getting up to our kids' loft beds. Assembly was pretty easy. It's hard to install this, but that's not the fault of the cat tree - it's 8 feet tall assembled, so it's hard to install, as expected. When we installed it, it was perfect. There's good scratching posts, a hiding box, comfortable shelves. There's a big downside, though, and it's that the tree only works under full tension. That's impossible to do with the box, especially how thin the box material is. It would work just fine as a normal cat tree, but the tension holds the entire thing up, and over time, the tree would no longer have the right tension. One cat stopped using it. I ended up installing a contraption in the middle of the box that extends the tension right down the middle. Cats can still use the box but have to move around a steel rod to get in there. But now it works perfectly. So I give it 4 stars for being a great tree at a good price, and take one from it because it wouldn't just work as-is over time. ... show more

    • Easy to put together, cats love the little hammock
I was worried this wouldn't be stable enough after I put it up. It wobbled when I shook it, but after securing it to the wall with a screw, it didn't buckle under my 18 lb cat. My 11 lb cat absolutely loves does the little round hammock attachment. The only con might be that the landings that lead up to the top are a little too narrow and step y and I had to adjust the landings so the cats felt more confident. ... show more

    • Beware! Unsafe design!
I'm so furious writing this right now! I bought this almost a year ago and my cats have loved it, using it daily and it seemed to be holding up fine, no problems for almost 9 months. When I first was putting it together, the piece that holds it to the ceiling did not want to tighten well- it kept spinning and the screws would loosen, no matter how firmly I tightened everything. I have a popcorn ceiling and that seems to not work well with this design because it won't get a solid grip and the screws keep loosening up- you have to spin everything in all different directions to get enough pressure against the ceiling and the fabric covering made everything slippery. I eventually put a piece of shim between the ceiling and the top piece which seemed to help keep it in place. It was still wobbly but not going anywhere. I could not use the strap that holds it to the wall because I'm in a rental and can't put holes in the wall- it's the whole reason I got a tree with a ceiling brace. Last week, one of my cats ran up it to get to the basket and the entire tree came crashing down, cat and all, and pinning my other cat underneath and smashing into everything in it's path including my plants , my laptop and myself. Thank goodness my cats weren't hurt but they were so scared they hid and wouldn't come out for over an hour. After the shock wore off, I put it up again and again, it was ridiculously complicated to get the top piece to brace and tighten against the ceiling but I got it in place, everything as tight as it could be and pushed and pulled on it to make sure it was secure. I've been checking it daily to be safe but it seemed to be staying in place. Tonight I got home from work and the entire thing had crashed to the floor again. This thing is going in the dumpster and honestly, I feel there should be a recall- this is an unsafe cat tree design and it shouldn't be being sold. I don't know who came up with the threaded toggle screws that need to be tightened on 2 different pieces while the part that goes against the ceiling needs to be spun on a central rod but it's very poorly thought out and way more work than it should be. I have another cat tree with the pressure mounted pole that fits against the celing and have had zero problems with that one. Just be careful with this one if you get it- use the wall mount part to help hold it in place. It's too bad because my cats really liked it but I'm done taking chances with trying to make it work, wish I could give zero stars! ... show more

This was very easy to put together and has a lot of features like two areas for a cat to scratch, a little house to lay in, the entire tree can be used to climb, and the nest at the top is a good place for cats to take a nap up off the ground. I had to come back a few months later to add this: This tree house was good while it lasted, it has since consistently fallen over on my cats and has created a huge safety issue for them and anyone who walks past it. I now have to throw it away. It will not stay up or create tension against the ceiling no matter how much I try to get it to stay. The main stem of it bows and bends. It lasted a total of a few months and now I need to find a new cat house that won’t collapse on my cats. ... show more

We previously had a large grey cat tree for years and it was looking pretty raggedy. I upgraded to this floor to ceiling one because it was small space friendly and provided some extra height for my cat. Not only does it look great, but my cat loves it! He went straight for the hammock and he likes the little cat house toward the bottom too. It's pretty sturdy and you can anchor it to the wall for extra support as well. It's good quality and an appropriate size for my 11lb cat. We love it! Edit: After having the cat tree for a few days, I've noticed that even with the wall anchor the cat tree slips from the ceiling because the part that keeps the cat tree in place is covered in carpet. I fixed the slipping problem by placing some flexible shims (Wobble Wedge is the brand) in between the top piece and the ceiling. Worked perfectly! Still love the cat tree but they might want to change the design in the future to put some anti-slip material on the top piece. ... show more
