I have been using these pens for years now, and don't like to use anything else. If I lend one to someone else at work, I always have to keep a close eye on it because everyone loves the way they feel and write so much that they don't want to give them back! They write very smoothly and evenly. I have never had any trouble with ink not coming out or writing unevenly (unless the cartridge is almost out of ink). I have only had problems with blotching a few times in all my years of daily use, and I think those were due to faulty ink cartridges. I like the medium tip the best- 0.7mm- (I tried a finer tip once and didn't like the way it looked as much). The weight of the pens in my hand is what I consider about a medium weight- they aren't heavy like a fancy metal pen, but it also doesn't feel like you're writing with a feather. I like the feel of the grip, and it makes writing nice and comfortable. I also appreciate the clip on the end of the pen, as I like to clip these onto my pocket at work. The clip is metal and quite sturdy- I have never had any issues with it breaking or coming off. Before you start writing with these, there is a tiny dot of something like dried glue on the tip of the pen that you need to remove- I assume this is there to help keep the ink fresh. I only buy these pens every few years and buy ink refills in the meantime when they run out of inkPentel Refill Ink for BL57/BL77 EnerGel Liquid Gel Pen, Box of 12, 0.7mm, Metal Tip, Black Ink (LR7-A-12) . After a while I do need to buy new pens, as they start to crack where the two halves of the pen screw together and so have a tendency to fall apart when you're writing with them. But again, this is after constant daily use for a few years time. I highly recommend these pens, but warn that after trying these you may not want to use any other pens ever again! ... show more

I LOVE these pens! I used to buy every pen there was trying to find the right ink, the right grip, a lasting pen that used all of its ink without drying up or evaporating, a nice selection of colors, etc., etc., Well, these are the pens that I was looking for! I've been using them for years and won't even buy anything else anymore. They come in great colors. They have a comfortable grip. The ink lasts a nice, long time. If you don't use the pen in a while, the rest of the ink does not dry up or evaporate as usually happens with gel pens. They don't smudge all over the place. The ink doesn't fade on the paper. I love that they're a click pen because I hated having to constantly put the cap on and take it off - and at least half of the time, I would eventually lose them. This particular pack is a real money saver if you want a lot of colors because these are all the colors! And, if you had to buy them separately you would wind up spending AT LEAST twice as much, if not more. You add all that up and you've got yourself not only a great pen, but quite a bargain! ... show more

I'm an author and a good pen is more than just a luxury for me. This is my go to pen now. It's not so slim and I like that it's stable in my hand. I do love that it's gel and. the ink comes out so smoothly. The only down side for me is that the ink doesn't exactly bleed to the other side of the paper but it is quite visible which can be distracting on lighter weight paper. On the other hand, it's easy to read my notes when I'm teaching. I never really thought I'd shop for or take the time to write a review for a pen. But I'm glad I got these pens. I hope this review is helpful to you. :-) One thing to note is that the refills are not the same color. This pen has navy ink and the blue refills I found online are lighter.
