Did lots of research before purchasing a set of wheel dolly's and these were offered at a good price and with free shipping I couldn't pass them up. Came about 10 days later in one very heavy package! Bolted up the casters, jacked up the 67 nova and slid em underneath. Must say I'm impressed with how well they work on a 2900lb car. Once it's moving it just about keeps going by itself (newton's law of motion?). Admittedly, changing directions requires a bit more effort, but can still be done by myself. The 3" casters roll easy, even over the control joints, and are made of a hard plastic so they don't scratch my nice new epoxy-coated garage floor. Highly recommend these, you won't be disappointed. Way better than the cheap ones at harbor freight with their 2" steel wheels and no bearings, good luck moving a car around on those!

I purchased these back in October they sat on my bench unit February when i finally got around to cleaning and organizing my garage so i could move my car around. I have a 73 Challenger, I wanted to be able to move around in my garage easily. These things work great. i did have a second person to help move it just to be safe. i didn't want to hurt the car. all they had to do was to help steer it. we were both amazed how easy the car moved with very little effort at all. now for the best part i went out to the garage and need to move the car a little. After sitting on these skates all this time ( about 2 1/2 months) and yes the was on them the entire time. The wheels on the skates didn't and i repeat did not get flat spots on them the car moved as easily as it did the the day i put the car on them. And for the price i would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve got a ‘62 bug I’ve been working on in my shop for the last couple years and I got these to be able to turn my car sideways and out of the way when I need to work on other things. For me they work great. Easy to roll around and I don’t have any issues with tire size hanging over. Sometimes it moves to easily. I wedge it so it doesn’t ever sneak up in me. Would buy again!

Strong, HEAVY, and almost perfect.

These dollies are HEAVY and seem to be very strong. Assembly was easy, and I dropped my 2012 Mustang 3.7l on them, but they didn't seem to flex at all. The wheels have bearings, and are NOT casters. This meant that the car moved incredibly easily, almost too well. As you can see in the picture, my garage floor is not perfect. While I did sweep the garage out before putting the car on the dollies, the car started to roll across the floor on it's own (apparently my garage floor is on a slant). I had to grab under the rear wheel well to get a grip to get it to stop. It was a bit startling, but a great result! I was able to easily put my Mustang in the front of my 2.5 car garage, and shield it from the Ohio winters. No more scraping my Fiesta ST in the mornings! That being said, these are not perfect. They REALLY need to have locks on the wheels. I grabbed a few small pebbles and chocked them, and they seem to be holding, but I am annoyed we don't get wheel locks. All of that being said, these exceeded my expectations, and I would still highly recommend them. For wheel size reference, those are 18x10 in the back, and 18 x9 in the front, and have no clearance issues.

Pentagon Tire Skates

These skates are awesome. I use them under the jacks of my farm machinery to easily maneuver them in my new barn by myself. I do have a very flat concrete floor otherwise these would not work at all. The key is that the floor is clean (at least broom clean) with NO chunks dirt or little stones in the way. They do not roll over any obstacles very well and I need to drill holes in the jack stands and the skate so I don't push the jack stand off the skate. But they do work as I anticipated. I can move my heavy baler and cutter with relative ease.

Exceeded all my expectations.

First off the shipping was FAST! Received in half the time quoted at checkout. These are HEAVY DUTY! I have ordered several other tire skates and they have all been wimpy compared to these. I won't be returning these! These are definitely worth the money and at free shipping you won't go wrong. The only improvement I could see would be to have two wheels on each skate with the locking feature would be nice but its not necessary. These are ten times better than the other states I have bought and I've had to return all of the rest because they were just flimsy and weak. The other ones I have bought had the flimsy little side crosspieces which would indicate to most people that it's needed because the metal is so thin. These skates are very thick metal, they are anodized not just painted,. The only drawback is since they are so well built they are a tad bit on the heavy side, but then again so am I so that just means we are both quality built. The other nice thing about these is that the casters are heavy duty and have one solid stud to bolt on instead of the four flimsy little studs on the other competitors cheap casters. If you need car skates , get these, you won't be disappointed at all. Don't waste your time and money on those other cheap Units like I did. The last nice thing about these is that my rear tires are quite wide but fit nice on these. They didn't fit on the cheaper flimsy skates I tried previously because of the stupid cross bars those use to try and increase stength due to the cheap stamped metal they use.

They Work!

I was hesitant to buy a "cheaper" set of tire skates but I got tired of having to take the cover off of my truck, start it, and move it 3 feet just to get at one side of my garage during the winter. So, I tried this. I have a 76 F100 sitting on them - not a light vehicle. You definitely need to put some umph into it when you push it, especially when the skate's wheels are not pointing in the direction that you're going. But, all in all, it's definitely doable by the average guy - which I am. (Better looking than average though). Easy to put together and the wheels seem sturdy. I'd definitely recommend these skates.

Adequate, But For How Long?

Overall these wheel skates are quite beefy and will handle a decent sized vehicle, but you get what you pay for. I am using them on a '69 Charger and they work adequately. I can push it around just fine by myself on epoxy coated concrete. I have wide tires on the rear (275s) and they do fit, but the bolt end does press into the tread. Due to this, and due to my concern for the overall quality, I am not storing the vehicle on these skates, especially since there are no locking castors. I may cut off the excess thread above the nut as it is just not necessary and see if the plastic wheels deform over time. I lubricated the swivel bearings prior to assembly with good quality grease as others have indicated. The wheel bearings are non-serviceable, pressed together bearing and races, so they cannot be lubricated. It does not sound as if there is grease inside the wheel bearings as you can hear the ball bearings rattling around. Ultimately, the wheel assemblies are robust but on the cheaper side. Good assemblies have zerks on both the swivel and wheel bearing; these do not. I have lots of high quality castors at my shop, and will swap them out when these fail. The major issues are the lack of zerks, the loose tolerances and the mounting nut underneath. This mounting nut is pressed in place. During this process, a little too much force was used, and they are very slightly deformed. The nut on top is 19 mm, as is the pressed nut on the bottom, but it is deformed just enough that a 19 mm wrench will not fit. I had to use a 20 mm wrench which is a non-standard sized wrench, and it's a little loose. If you don't have a 20 mm (the vast majority of wrench sets do not come with this size), you will have to improvise, perhaps with a 21 mm although that would be pretty loose, or maybe a SAE 25/32 (non-standard) or a 13/16. I doubt that an adjustable would get in there, so expect this issue and good luck. All you need to do is get something to bite so you can tighten the main nut on top. The nut on all 16 castors were deformed enough that a 19 mm wrench would not quite fit.
