The rod and reel are great, BUT hopefully there’s no damage to the rod because how it was shipped. The shipping method was Terrible!! It was a 2 pc rod, so 3.5 ft long packed in a box that 3ft wide x 5 ft long with no bubble wrap or filler in order to keep from getting severely damaged, plus the rod tip was sticking out one end of the box 2-3 inches which could have broke the tip off easily. Very unprofessional in the packing, but hopefully there’s no damage. ... show more

I believe it was Chaos fishing and hats off to them for awesome packaging and cheaper than most I seen on line for same setup... I ordered this combo Penn Battle IV 6,000 plus Battle IV rod. I was scared to death with all the negative reviews on how amazon shipps, and all the damaged rods, but I ordered figuring I have all winter to get it replaced if broken or damaged. It was delivered In a big clear plastic bag.😮😲 the rod tip sticking out of top a bag.. omg I thought it has to be damaged.,To my surprise there was not one thing wrong with it. I was literally shocked, not a scratch, ding, or anything. The reel was wrapped in bubble rap it also was cleannnnn. It makes me wonder if they started shipping like that so the delivery crew could see what it was and take better care to not screw it up.. A big shout out to Amazon for extra care!! The rod looks Fantastic, and reel is smoothhhhh as butta.. ... show more
