I'm giving this 4 stars because I love the product itself. The chair is solidly made with real wood, it's comfortable (not cushy) and I love the design of the chair. My problem was one of the pieces (the back) has two hanger bolts on the bottom that insert into the seat. One of those was completely bent over 90 degrees and could not be straightened and was wedged in there very tightly. I contacted the seller immediately, and they responded right away. I asked if they could just send the back part with the bolts properly attached, otherwise the chair would not be able to be assembled. The seller asked that I take pictures of the item and to check out all the parts and make sure there were no other issues. I did notice some indentation marks on almost every piece and little cuts or grooves on the front edge of the arms and made mention of those. I sent them the photos and they replied with a partial refund of $34.90, a 10% discount. They made no mention of the photos, the groove marks on the pieces, or if they could send a new part... nothing. I refused their offer. They replied with another offer, this time 20%, so $69.80 and again, no mention of the condition of the chair itself as was shown in the photos. So again I refused. I wasn't about to pay half the price of the chair to return it either. I told them if they expect me to keep a defected item, I should get at least half my money back which they accepted and quickly initiated a refund. In the end, we were able to get the chair fixed up, thankfully. ... show more

This rocker exceeded our expectations! Really sturdy and well made. Easy to put together. Comfortable too! That fact that it is solid wood is the reason we purchased it. Great value for the cost.
