The kit contains two modular system allowing you to easily hang one or two crafts. Each strap is adjustable and each section has convenient velcro loops for holding your paddles. Each strap is rated to hold up to 100 lb. and the overall system is rated to hold a total of 200 lb. Hardware for mounting this system to a wall or ceiling is NOT included. Make sure your anchor points (surface and hardware) can support a load of at least 200 lb.

I was looking for a simple and inexpensive solution to store my two new kayaks, and this product fits the bill perfectly. Because this product was such a great value to begin with, I was happy to give it a try. These straps are well-designed, sturdy, attractive, and simple to install and operate. I have a high ceiling in my garage, so I was able to get these up high enough to be completely out of the way. I would think you need a minimum of 8 feet in height in order to store two kayaks with this system. As advertised. Pelican brand with teal and black straps and teal and black carabiners. Ad noted that I needed to get hardware to attach to wall. Pretty simple: 2 sturdy eye bolts (screws) into the studs and installation was complete. Not a simple task the first time to suspend the upper kayak alone but with 2 people was really easy. Lower kayak easy for one. With use the upper should be easy for 1 as well. These are lightweight Pelican kayaks so no weight issues although system advertised to hold up to 200 lbs. (100 per strap). Suspended the kayaks measure only about 15" from the top of the kayak to the wall. The depth of the kayak seems to be the only variable on the horizontal space requirements as they allow them to hang straight down. Detachable so can be used with 1 or 2 boats, boards, whatever, or can be removed from the wall easily. ... show more

This is my second season of having this kayak hanging system. I love it so much; it’s so easy. I’m only 5’3” and after the initial install in my garage I have no difficulty putting my kayaks away.

My only complaint is that they don't come with hooks. I bought a cheaper set for the 1st kayak. It functioned, but I needed something for 2 til I sell the first one so I can park in my garage. Winter is coming! These are sturdier and easier to use. The clips make it easy as opposed to the plastic clips from the cheaper set. ... show more

    • Easy to use maybe there is a trick to it but it takes me and my wife to put the kayak up
It works great so far I will update after use Edit: It is amazing and in great shape after a year of use inside our garage it is hard to do the top kayak the easiest way for me is to loosen the loops slide the kayak in then tighten it but it is way easier with your wife or partner just picking it up then clipping it in place It looks very organized and clean in our garage and for the price it is definitely 10/10 The only thing to note is that it does not come with mounting hardware to attach it to a wall which we just used eye hooks with metal wall anchors since our walls are plywood reinforced behind drywall ... show more

Fits both my 9.5 and my 8.5 yaks. Only need to provide 2 hooks for the ceiling. We attached them to the joists in our garage behind the garage door and they are securely out of the way. I can take them down and put them back with ease without assistance.

Wanted to find storage for our SUPs that I could hang from the ceiling, but wasn't sure I could work that out in my garage. Found this hanging option in my search. This is a great option. Easy to install. I used a couple of eyebolts into studs on garage wall. Hook the carabiners into the eyebolts and you are ready to hang your board(s)/kayak(s). It's a lot better quality than I expected. Very easy to use. I do recommend spacing them closer together than you think. I really like that the straps have carabiners to fasten them. That way you don't have to slide the kayak into the harness.
