  • Pleasantly Surprised!
Wow, I am Pleasantly surprised! I recently purchased the Fanatec CSL DD Combo, with the Direct Drive Wheel/Base and the Pedals... however my one problem was that that the Pedal Set was not study enough to use on the ground by itself, as any pressure on the pedals caused them to tilt forward (Coming from the Logitech G29, which could easily be used on the ground, this was a problem). I now needed a standalone pedal base/mount to put the CSL Pedals on so that I did not have the flex, and I turned to this product. The unit arrived very quickly and had more than enough parts to do the job, even having leftover screws and metal bars in the kit! It was easy enough to put together, but did require some patience as the unit did not come with a physical instruction manual but rather a QR Code that linked to a tutorial video on Youtube. It took me around 30-ish minutes to put together, but once done it feels and looks quite sturdy and has nearly no flex when pressing on the pedals. As well, once put together, making adjustments to its length or the pedals angle can be done quite quickly! WARNING for Fanatec CSL Pedal users! - For anyone who is going to mount the Fanatec CSL Pedals be warned that this unit does not have the proper screws for the back two mounting brackets on the pedal base. As in the pictures above, the top mounting holes for the pedal worked quite easily with their given 10mm screws (as this part of the pedal set lays flat with the mount), however the lower part of the pedals required a longer screw as the screw mount is not flush in this section (the single arrow photo shows this offset). The provided screws where either too short or too long for the bracket in this section. I luckily had purchased these (https://a.co/d/iCC239B) M6-1.0mm Thread Size, 20mm screws for my desk mount and they worked perfectly for this section of the mount. I am not sure if this was user error, but since there are no instructions and the video they provided is with a totally flat pedal-set, there unfortunately seems to be no other way besides purchasing these additional screws. Overall the pedal set for the price is fantastic (nearly no flex, very sturdy, and keeps my office chair locked in), and saved me from buying a Sim-Cockpit which would have had me forking over quite a bit more money for one of quality. ... show more

  • Cheaply made garbage
Honestly to sum up the review, it's just poorly made. Several pieces had mistakes in the machining so they were difficult to get together. On top of that, every single time I use it bolts and screws come loose. So I need to keep Allen wrenches of different sizes handy to tighten them. Also, be aware that this does not come with instructions. It instead links to a video that's very hard to follow and has a terrible AI song in the background blasting. I've been using it regularly for a few months and it feels like it's one breath from breaking. If you intend on using this for more than 20 minutes a month, you're going to be sorely disappointed. ... show more

  • Functional, basically
I only have so much to compare this to as someone new to sim racing (I've never had a wheel stand or cockpit), but it seems to be doing what it's supposed to be doing. This is far more comfortable for me with my corner desk (compared to sliding my monitor over and having my pedals against a safe against the wall), but setup is very awkward. The included QR codes for instructions didn't seem to work, and the video on this product page is for an older version of the product. I think I was able to piece everything together securely, but I'm also left with a surprising number of spare parts. Also, as another reviewer said: sometimes things don't fit together quite like they should, so it's not even as easy as it should be to put this together. At least they include the tools you need, and--theoretically--I don't think this SHOULD be difficult to assemble. I just wish they'd put together some printed, visual instructions. I don't think it would have been that hard. All that said, allow 2-3 hours for assembly. It won't necessarily take you that long, but if you're like me in that you accidentally did it partially wrong at first (and also had some other struggles)... it can take some time. ... show more

  • Ergonomic, Hard Assembly, Kinda Sharp, Decently Sturdy
Assembly was a bit difficult, but well worth it. The ergonomics of my titan chair and sim rig have never been better. I no longer need shoes on my chair wheels to use a loadcell brake. I only need 10 n/m of force, with heavy loadcell brakes you'd need a better mount than this. But, it's great for what it needs to be. A little over priced, and a little sharp on my feet without shoes. The extra hardware was needed as I broke a 90 degree joint hammering it out after it got stuck. ... show more

  • Damn this thing is solid and fully adjustable
I went from a desk mounted setup to a full size Sim Lab GT1 EVO rig and now back to a desk setup since this pedal mount came out. It is very solid, like a Sim Lab product almost. Comes with numerous spare parts as shown for added customization. You can adjust literally every angle and length of this unit. Very solid. I had a setup under my desk previously that used a tray to hold wheels stationary as well however the tray was too wide and would allow the office chair wheels to slide around a little bit which was annoying, and the adjustable joints were not as solid as this setup. This is a masterful, improved product. ... show more

  • Frustrating installation made worse by a part sheering off during assembly.
The angled joints are VERY cheap cast parts. The tolerances on the rest of the parts are also pretty terrible. Some of the nuts had to be jammed in very hard to get them to go into the rails. Ultimately, one of the angled joints sheered off right when I was finishing the assembly, which renders the entire unit useless. I won't be buying another product from this manufacturer. ... show more

  • "L" brackets already breaking
Up until now I have really enjoyed the PEIN Pedal Mount, well designed and practical. Overall I was pleased with the purchase until just recently one of the "L" brackets holding a cross member broke, I know I didn't over torque the hex screw and I'm sure not what you would call a brute on the pedals. Currently looking for a replacement bracket but didn't think it was something I'd be doing only five months after purchase. ... show more
