I purchased 2 Vefreedom e-bikes. Setup was pretty easy. One of the bike’s wire to the headlight was cut so I had to splice that, which is easy if you are handy. The bikes are fun to ride and have enough power for our need of cruising around a flat island. I found myself sitting at the back of the seat and feeling a bit cramped. I’m 6’3”. My wife was fine with the fit. I had high hopes for these bikes, but after a couple of weeks of light use, my bike stopped turning on. Since I have two bikes, I was able to swap the batteries and test several of things, like the wiring but no luck. I contacted the manufacturer via their Custer support email in their website and the email bounced back. I don’t think the company exists any more. Amazon did grant me the right to return it, but I have to package it back up and pay to send it back. That is probably going to cost half as much as I paid for it. I was hoping for at least some troubleshooting tips or a replacement part, but no such thing exists. I guess you do get what you pay for. I’m curious to see how long my wife’s bike lasts. UPDATE - After leaving the above 1 star review, customer service reached out to me. They diagnosed the issue and sent me a replacement controller under warranty.     • Cheapo tubes ann tires . Don’t get stranded .
the bike rides and shifts nice , battery life seems ok BUT the tires are thin as paper. the tubes went flat with a SMALL sticker on the road by my house. I’m glad i didn’t take it on longer trip from home. I’m fairly mechanical but just to replace the tube with a power cable on the wheel I now need to take to a bike shop to get a thorn proof tube put in . I won’t send the bike back although I have a warrenty and extended warrenty just because of the Hassle. slime did not work at the tubes are SO thin , they need replaced. ... show more

It was pretty self-explanatory to put together. It was easy. I have not ridden it far yet..it weighs 61 lbs… so waiting on a good bike rack. It rides well. I’m giving it a 4 but only because of the weight. Really, you’re not going to find a light E bike. The battery alone adds a lot to it.
