It did pill a bit after repeated washings but the 100% thick cotton made it a very comfortable breathable blanket. At the moment it's a perfect color, reverseable, so soft and cozy. I will no be upset if it does pill because of the weight, the quality and the fact that's it's a thick 100% cotton blanket.

This blanket is soft and ample in size. It's not too heavy but very comfortably warm. We had a blanket from Peacock Alley that lasted almost 29 years of daily use. Certainly worth the price

.....it's a gorgeous blanket. The "flint" color we purchased is actually a very soft, light greyish taupe, with a creamy beige on the reverse. Elegant and goes with everything; it looks like velvet on the bed and it's sizing is generous for a standard "king" too. It has a substantial and comfortable, cozy weight to it...perfect for Florida "winters" but probably too light to be used alone for deep winter weather in the Northern states. Others have remarked that once washed it might lose the velvety texture and instead develop a more "pebbled", or rougher texture. I have found that to be the case with other 100% cotton blankets of this type that I've purchased in the past for our queen beds, irrespective of the manufacturer. Because of this, I'm going to try to be careful and follow the instructions for washing this new blanket exactly as directed by the manufacturer..

I bought this blanket knowing that I was going to be in the hospital for some time and I didn’t want to be cold, it definitely kept me warm! It’s SO SOFT and you can tell it’s TOP QUALITY! I know it costs a pretty penny, but I also know it will last for years! I can picture it lasting well after I’m gone. I have not washed it yet, probably should since I’ve had it since January and it’s May now 😂, but I can’t part with it that long. At home I just use it to cover myself when watching TV.

This is what a traditional blanket should be. It reminded me of the blankets I would have as a kid growing up. Nothing artificial or polyester about it. 100% cotton, smooth and comfortable. I was fortunate to get this on a flash sale so that made it even better. Yes they are expensive but I believe well worth it, especially compared to the cheaper blankets we all have nowadays.

While this blanket has a nice feel of adequate softness and trimmed nicely, it SHRINKS! I placed it on the bed out of the package to ensure it would be long enough, as I wanted a nice firm tuck, yet be able to bring up over my shoulders. It almost seemed too long. I washed in cold water and used lowest setting on dryer per the instructions. I read about the cotton fiber and it seemed a perfect match for our needs. When I made the bed, it was now 98 inches by 90 inches. It shrank 10 inches in one direction!! It was almost beyond belief from what we saw before the wash. For $200, I would have expected it to remain closer to the original size of 108 x 90. The people who gave it 5 stars I guarantee you have not washed the blanket yet! We have allergies so I needed the wash done. Very disappointing. It’s 7 inches longer than our previous blanket, so I paid $30 an inch for a bit longer tuck.
